Every participant had to bring a wine of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought by the others. All wines were tasted blind, also without knowing when the wine you brought yourself was poured.

 

  • 2007 Van Volxem Volz Riesling - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
    Smoke, minerals and some herbs in the bouquet. On the palate tropical fruits, some sweet notes, honey and minerals. Good acidity and length with some grapefruit in the finish. (92 pts.)
  • 2008 Van Volxem Volz Riesling - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
    Flowers, minerals, melon and fresh tropical fruits in the bouquet. On the palate white fruits, some herbs and caramel, a pleasant touch of petrol, good acidity and bitterness and a good length. (92 pts.)
  • 2009 Van Volxem Volz Riesling - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
    Corked (FLAWED)
  • 2011 Van Volxem Volz Riesling - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
    Minerals and white fruits in the bouquet. On the palate grasses, minerals, white fruits, good acidity, some minerals and grapefruit in the finish. (90 pts.)
