Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow" #020: Riesling Grosses Gewächs

Every participant had to bring a wine of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought by the others. All wines were tasted blind, also without knowing when the wine you brought yourself was poured.

  Germany, Nahe

  Beautiful bouquet with minerals, green apples and some petrol. Same on the palate. A firm amount of acidity and bitterness. Improves with more air time.

  Flowers, minerals and lemon in the bouquet. Same on the palate. Some petrol and melon. Still very youthful.

  In the bouquet white fruits, minerals, flowers, citrus and some petrol. On the palate white fruits, minerals, good acidity, bitterness and length. Pineapple, grapefruits and some caramel in the taste as well.

  In the bouquet white and yellow fruits, apple and pineapple as well as some petrol. On the palate herbs, white fruits, passion fruit, stone and minerals. Beautiful juicy acidity. Beautiful wine.

  The bouquet is a bit smoky with slate and firne. On the palate minerals, apple, grapefruit, citrus and passion fruit. Focused. Great length.

  Smoke, minerals and some herbs in the bouquet. On the palate tropical fruits, some sweet notes, honey and minerals. Good acidity and length with some grapefruit in the finish.

  Beautiful bouquet with some rustic and mineral impressions and also cinnamon. On the palate some tropical pineapple impressions, good citrus, beautiful balance between acidity and sweetness and soft grapefruit in the finish.
