Lots of raspberry and strawberry, a little green funk. Hot and unbalanced, seems really manipulated, crystal clear in appearance, brilliant dark ruby in color. The wine comes of simple, red fruit, spice/heat, and green herbs. Very meh. (255 views) | ||||

Quick note only. Much less fruit forward than the 2009 and more complex than the 2010. This is my favorite of the three. I’m still holding my 2008 bottles so I cannot compare. Definitely in a nice place now and should hold a few more years. (917 views) | ||||

PnV. Medium dark burgundy in color. Nose of crushed rock, raspberry, leather. Ripe plums and gravel on the palate with quite a bit of acidity. Fruit came out more as the wine warmed. At 55°F the wine was quite firm, but as it got up past 65°F the wine fattened up a bit more. Regardless, I was expecting more but was a bit underwhelmed as it seemed a bit too linear. | ||||
