Slightly darker than pale lemon in colour with aromas of blossoms, pear & pineapple. On the palate, medium bodied citrus/lemon, pear, pineapple, blossoms, brioche, hint nuts, medium acidity with a long finish to slightly oaky, saline, chalky minerality. The small degree of malolactic fermentation definitely adds to the freshness, but this vintage seems oakier than previous ones. (42 views)

Clear dark purple in colour. Notes of blackberry, spice, and some tobacco. Nice acidity, med body, grippy tannins. Would have preferred this with a piece of meat. Partner loved the wine, I enjoyed but I am thinking we drank it too soon. Love all the wines from this producer. (59 views)

This bottle was much better on the second day. The cherries were falling from the glass, smelled while the glass was on the table. Black fruit on the palate made me think it was going to be a fruit bomb, but the leather and smooth tannins made that thought disappear. Longish finish. Thick and luscious. This has aged well. A bit more on the bitter fruit spectrum then sweet fruited. But still some lingering sweet fruit. Cherries, dabs of chocolate. Nice medium acidity, vague dusty tannins. I am enjoying this one. (61 views)

Clear dark purple in colour. Notes of black fruit, dark chocolate, and some herbaceous notes. Drank over a couple of days and got better with time. Still quite tight upon opening, but once open it was very nice. Will age for some time. A good example of what Cabernet can do in BC from the right terroir. Prior note about the Carmenere is very true. Definitely not a California Cab. (104 views)

This has aged well. I pop and poured this one. It was drinking well immediately, but benefitted from a half hour to warm up and open up.
Big black cherry nose, some raisin note and ash-tray (in a good way), (maybe I'm thinking tobacco). Smooth tannins. Perfect drinking window. (254 views)

Getting better half-year later. This is the result of smoked bacon, blackberry crumble and black pepper hosting a ripper of a party. Great weight, long finish. Enough acid and tannin to stand up to roast chook and veggies. One more bottle to go and listen up DV I’ve already earmarked it for a Syrah tasting this year that you & Vino Loco will be a part of.
