Community Tasting History

Community Tasting Notes (average 89.3 pts. and median of 90 pts. in 96 notes) - hiding notes with no text

Tasted by Janstan on 6/10/2015 & rated 90 points: Consistent with previous bottles, citrus and peach/apricot (2722 views)
Tasted by dfitzg2 on 1/18/2015 & rated 89 points: I think I mislabeled this from a previous sample. Was a favorite of my wine-savvy son. Very nice blend, dampening the Viognier nicely. (3031 views)
Tasted by tomherer on 12/2/2014 & rated 89 points: Not much new to say -- silly value, smells and tastes delicious with the grenache blanc in the foreground. Drank as a cocktail, but seems like it would be a great, versatile food companion. Round, but balanced, with enough zing to get your attention. Finishes thin and a little short, but there's enough almond and peach to carry things through and make it satisfying. The WA score/review is overblown imo, but this outperforms the price point regardless. (3214 views)
Tasted by woodwino on 10/22/2013 & rated 89 points: Nice wine. Got better as it warmed up a bit. (4809 views)
Tasted by paulst on 10/21/2013 & rated 90 points: Nice rather rich lemon-apricot-peach; a creaminess; nice finish. (4513 views)
Tasted by Wamrod on 10/10/2013 & rated 90 points: great bottle - not as rich as the Lou Coucardie bottling, but very enjoyable all the same (2620 views)
Tasted by Jasper Hofman on 8/5/2013 & rated 82 points: Some stone fruit and minerality but lacking acidity and therefore somewhat flabby, not my type of glass. (2655 views)
Tasted by Janstan on 7/13/2013 & rated 89 points: Sipped on the deck after golf. Easy to enjoy (2562 views)
Tasted by Janstan on 7/13/2013 & rated 89 points: stan and john (1579 views)
Tasted by Pour Boy on 7/7/2013 & rated 89 points: Possesses a freshness and light acidity that make it a nice bottle to accompany a summer meal. (1614 views)
Tasted by mmcdds on 7/1/2013 & rated 87 points: As always this is a reliable, reasonably priced southern Rhone white with nice stone and tropical fruit flavors and a firmly mineral laden core. Quite nice with a good qpr and perfect for the hot summer months. (1594 views)
Tasted by markcic on 6/26/2013 & rated 87 points: Nice Rhone White - golden color, full flavor, peaches, a touch of grass and minerals dominate the palate. Good QPR. (1456 views)
Tasted by AllRed on 6/21/2013 & rated 90 points: Citrus and mineral notes on the nose and palate. Good weight across the midpalate and finish. (1531 views)
Tasted by thelostverse on 6/21/2013 & rated 91 points: Opened at Anvil. Initially disappointed with this last night upon opening, but enjoyed it through the course of the evening. Fig, citrus and some peach notes that I really enjoyed. (1441 views)
Tasted by Tim Heaton on 5/31/2013: consistent with prior notes, this is good, but fading as it loses its brightness and freshness. Certainly was worth the $14 paid. 14,0% abv, thru 2013 (1985 views)
Tasted by Number51 on 5/12/2013: Drink ASAP. (2116 views)
Tasted by Vinacull on 4/1/2013 & rated 88 points: Second and last bottle. For this one the fruit was more muted or seems to be fading. Drink up? (1485 views)
Tasted by gmbdds on 3/31/2013: Just checking in without a score. I was really impressed with this last fall. I didn't focus much on this tonight but it showed a lot of alcohol with less fruit. Your bottles may be different but might be one to drink in the near term. (1713 views)
Tasted by kneourl on 3/22/2013 & rated 90 points: Medium-bodied wine showing appealing minerality, nice balance of acidity and fruits, which include pear, citrus, and a hint of lavender and spice. Complemented my meal of steamed clams with tomato, leaks, garlic and (this) wine. (1777 views)
Tasted by Tim Heaton on 2/23/2013: Not too surprisingly, this did not show better than the 2011 served right next to it; both bottles having been served double-blind. TN consistent with prior consumption. (1758 views)
Tasted by dave smigielski on 2/13/2013: consistent with previous notes (2338 views)
Tasted by pikemasterflash on 2/2/2013: Pretty good. Reminded me of La Petite Frog but at a higher price point. (1908 views)
Tasted by kstoddard on 1/24/2013 & rated 90 points: Pale yellow color. Tart pineapple fruit on the nose. Tastes orange peel, lemon, melon, and apple with a nice minerality. Very well balanced. Rich finish with some length and depth. Excellent QPR. 14% alcohol. (2568 views)
Tasted by jonahfactor on 1/1/2013 & rated 89 points: New Year's Eve dinner alongside whole Maine lobster. Feared this might be too big a wine or too rich for a meal so focused on our favorite crustacean. But this was a very good choice. Very true to its Southern Rhone roots, with 90% Grenache Blanc and remaining parts equal Roussanne and Viognier. Straw hued with fragile tears in the glass. Ocean breeze in the nose. Light touches of orange marmalade, lemon zest, apricots and herbs. Splendid mineral notes that played off the sweet, briney flavors of the main course. Finish dies quickly. But memorable. And the candlelit watercolor label showing couples dancing and dining on a grapevine was a nice touch for a romantic dinner for two. (2230 views)
Tasted by Number51 on 12/23/2012 & rated 88 points: This second bottle is showing better than the last one. Nose is elegant, minerally, and sea breezy. Palate has oily texture of green olives and light citrus. (2110 views)
