Community Tasting Notes (average 88.8 pts. and median of 89 pts. in 91 notes) - hiding notes with no text

 Tasted by gfb1 on 7/4/2018 & rated 88 points: Delicious (1075 views)
Tasted by ChipGreen on 3/25/2018: Brioche and strawberry on the palate. Delicious and showing no signs of slowing down. One of our favorite sparklers but sadly, only one bottle left. (1489 views)
Tasted by studleytrey on 8/19/2016: Consistent with previous reviews, but I'm getting some light oxidative notes on nose and palate, so I'll be drinking my last sooner than later. (2297 views)
Tasted by ChipGreen on 2/15/2016: Still fresh and vibrant. Lively mousse, medium-fine bead. Strawberry/pomegranate palate. Fruit up front but nice dry finish. Glad I have 3 bottles left. (2419 views)
 Tasted by grover91 on 12/4/2015 & rated 89 points: A lovely opener. (2388 views)
Tasted by David_T on 11/25/2015 & rated 89 points: Matches my notes from a year ago. Still incredibly fresh for its age, this bottle shows the cranberry more than anything. I'll try my last bottle once it's past its 10th birthday since it should easily age that long. (1693 views)
Tasted by 2009emerson on 7/4/2015 & rated 90 points: Very surprising Rose from California. Nicely balance with cherry, strawberry flavors but never too sweet or too dry, nicely balanced with fine mousse and delicate bubbles. For the price it was a knockout. (1997 views)
Tasted by mazik on 6/21/2015 & rated 91 points: As you'd expect from the grapes involved, the nose is in between that of pinot noir and that of blanc de blancs champagne, with the accent on the former: strawberry/cherry and rose petal with yeasty brioche, tiny bubbles, maybe a little citron zest on the palate. The label doesn't call it "brut," or any of the other usual designations, but it's quite dry and tart. This was "en tirage" for four years and I'm unclear what this adds, but this was the last of six lovely bottles. (1268 views)
Tasted by Acohen on 2/19/2015 & rated 88 points: Crisp with good acidity, some pear, cranberry notes (1331 views)
Tasted by gfb1 on 12/26/2014 & rated 90 points: Honeydew and lime peel bouquet. Delicate bubbles. A bit of strawberry in the mouth. Very well balanced. Still drinking beautifully (1499 views)
Tasted by robmillis on 9/18/2014 & rated 87 points: simple, light berry experience (1974 views)
Tasted by kietkopelli on 9/17/2014 & rated 92 points: Very nice. I don't remember the tasting notes but remember wanting more. (1571 views)
Tasted by Frabjous on 8/23/2014: For Caroline’s b’day! (1746 views)
Tasted by nathanbsmith on 7/31/2014 & rated 88 points: Very nice sparkling! (1758 views)
Tasted by scott w on 7/25/2014 & rated 88 points: Burned through 4 bottles, fine qpr (1649 views)
Tasted by David_T on 7/7/2014 & rated 89 points: Zesty nose with bread, cranberry, strawberry and cherry notes. The palate has pleasant bubbles, medium acidity and flavors that match the aromas. A great bottle of bubbles for the price, and I look forward to seeing where it goes in the next year or two. (1527 views)
Tasted by grover91 on 7/3/2014 & rated 90 points: This is a terrific sparkling rose, perfect for warm summer days. Nice balance - not sweet but not dry. Highly recommend. (1389 views)
Tasted by Mjurgaitis on 6/29/2014 & rated 91 points: Awesome beach wine. Great value. (1261 views)
Tasted by tward on 6/20/2014: Enjoyable and versatile, either on its own or with food. Medium bubbles, fairly crisp with nice fruit. This seems to drink better on the second night (apprx. half of the bottle, capped, in the refrigerator overnight) - it seems to gain some weight and depth. (1162 views)
Tasted by fredfromny on 6/9/2014 & rated 89 points: Nice for what it is. Fruit is a bit heavy, though. (1104 views)
Tasted by spts1000 on 6/7/2014 & rated 88 points: very nice. medium pale pink color. (1341 views)
Tasted by Acohen on 5/28/2014 & rated 88 points: Cranberry and strawberry with nice acidity but short finish (1118 views)
Tasted by scott w on 5/16/2014 & rated 89 points: Very nice qpr! Strawberry, cherry, herbs good acid, citrus, nice mousse a little creaminess. Very juicy and a pretty long finish, a fine summer sipper. (1330 views)
Tasted by discoverwine on 1/5/2014 & rated 88 points: A very nice sparkling rose. Good structure and delicious red berry flavors. Very good for the price point. (1850 views)
Tasted by mazik on 1/1/2014 & rated 91 points: Drunk New Year's Eve with the Otts with blini and salmon caviar and smoked salmon.... (1676 views)

SINNET
2007 ROSÉ

Sinnet is our masterful and elegant rosé, 100% from the excellent 2007 vintage. It is beautifully colored from the perfectly ripe pinot noir grapes, and aromatically it soars from the glass with fresh red fruits and subtle spices. Powerful but feminine, it shows laser bright fruits on the palate with an emphasis on red plums, tart raspberry and sweet strawberry, with the perfect backing of nutmeg, allspice and crème brulee. It is wonderfully long, refined, seamless and beautifully balanced. This will age gracefully for another 5+ years with ease!

Champagne Blend

"Champagne blend" is a classic grape blend that typically includes Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and/or Pinot Meunier in any proportions.

However, this blend can also include Arbane, Fromenteau (Pinot Gris), Petit Meslier and/or Pinot Blanc as well.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
