Tasted by IMKR on 12/25/2023 & rated 86 points: Drank at serving temp ~~55F

Appearance:

Clear, pale intensity
Yellow with a tinge of green; Lemon Green
Fast quick plentiful tears (dry, high EtOH)

Nose:

Clean
Medium+/deep intensity
Green Fruits (Green apple, pear), Green Melons?
Citrusy (Lemon Peel)
Very pronounced on green fruits and citrus

Palate:

Dry
Very Light Body
High Acidity
High Alcohol
Citrusy
Appears to be light intensity.

Finish:

High intensity, High length. Acidity lingers for quite awhile
Some bitter aftertaste on the back of the tongue, that slightly lingers .

Conclusion:

2nd day was much better. on Day 1 i did not like it. it had a very strong bitter taste. (which also seemed to mellow out after a while in the glass on day 1). on the nose, its very clean, fresh. it gives me the impression that this would be very good to drink on a nice cool breezy day on the porch.

On the palate, the acidity was to strong for me. it overshadowed the structure and any other characters (fruit, body, etc) gets very shadowed by it.

in general, the flavor seemed pretty bland. maybe thats just the characteristics of Chard. but i am still not well versed in wine to say for sure.

Tasted by Neecies on 7/19/2023: Doran's, I think. Impressive for a '17. Excellent fruit and good energy balanced by age but not showing maturity. A favorite. (565 views)
 Tasted by A L P on 5/13/2023: Delicious as always. (491 views)
Tasted by GA_Seattle on 10/24/2022 & rated 88 points: Quite fruity, would have guessed California. Better with food. (683 views)
Tasted by ITasteYouDrink on 8/7/2022: Fantastic white burgundy. Definite notes of some kind of nut, fruit but not ripe, possibly slightly tropical. Seems like medium acid but super energetic and really carries the flavors along. Highly recommend, especially with a fish/chicken dish with almonds/walnuts/pine nuts to match the wine. (712 views)
Tasted by A L P on 7/20/2021: Delicious with a hint of caramel. Floral and light. (750 views)
Tasted by joholman@mac.com on 1/17/2021 & rated 89 points: Med Yellow. Citrus and apples on the nose. A lighter chard, but very drinkable. Pleasant on the palette. (855 views)
Tasted by kaush on 9/27/2020: This is softer now; lighter bodied than other Burgundy whites. This is nothing earthshaking, but it is full of tactile charm, lemon/lime flaors, a bit of spice, and a mineral spine. It is an honest wine. As I sip the leftovers on the third afternoon today, I am remain impressed that it hasnt fallen apart, and remains very drinkable. (865 views)
Tasted by Tranquility Base on 7/30/2020 & rated 91 points: This was mostly delightful. At times I wanted a little more fullness; it came across as thinner and slightly metallic. But it had fresh farm flavors and scents, some apple and lemon, and no interfering oak. It's a refreshing and appealing wine, very well made. I would pick this up again for sure for a reasonable price.

I enjoyed this with simply prepared salmon, but it probably has the acidity to cut through creamy dishes. Good lunch party wine. (820 views)
Tasted by kaush on 7/11/2020: Another wine from the last few months where I didnt note down the date of consumption or keep any notes.

tranquility base got this right. It seemed thinner than I like when I opened it. But it was crisp and refreshing. It grew on me over the two days that I had it ..and it did seem to grow a bit in body. Can't beat it at this price point. (766 views)
Tasted by Ryan.Campbell on 7/7/2020 & rated 90 points: I have a hard time with American Chardonnay, Inorefer the grape unpairs, so this bottle was everything Jnwas looking for. (721 views)
Tasted by Vinnut on 3/26/2020 & rated 89 points: Light golden yellow in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe citrus fruit aromas of lemons/limes, apples & peaches with mineral overtones & some floral notes, stony, chalky & a ever-so-slight hint of vanilla/oak in the background. Medium-light bodied with a very good concentration of balanced & smooth texture, crisp, ripe fruit flavors of lemons/limes, apples & pears with stones, minerals & a hint of vanilla/oak. Lingering crisp finish. Drinks quite well at present & appears to made for near time enjoyment. (796 views)
Tasted by Cameldeej on 1/2/2020 & rated 87 points: and dominate this light, fruity wine. Splendid with chicken. Nice. (737 views)
Tasted by chifred on 12/29/2019 & rated 90 points: Complex nose with citrus, great acid, medium body, clean, nice finish. Well developed progression, well made. Lemon curd and gravel on palate. Buy more! (705 views)
Tasted by Mtz Tom on 12/23/2019 & rated 88 points: Not much to add to JH773’s notes except that my wife described grapefruit on the palette. I think she is right as usual. One of our current favorites and a good value. (685 views)
Tasted by jh773 on 8/9/2019 & rated 88 points: A crisp almost seltzer-like minerality on the nose with fruit and oak vanilla notes. Tropical fruit, golden apple, quite rich and full-bodied, lip-smacking finish. (825 views)
Tasted by MicklethePickle on 7/17/2019 & rated 90 points: Open the last night. Fairly deep, relatively dark yellow color. Even has some viscosity. This is a pleasant surprise, especially at the price point. Very nice apple fruit throughout, but it also has a bit of depth. A real find at this price point. My favorite new Chardonnay under $15? Probably. 5-11-16-8: 90/100. (1161 views)
Tasted by srh on 5/25/2019: Taste BBQ Wines (San Diego Wine Co.): WAY too cold

From 6.5 ha of 15-30 yr old vines grown in clay & compact limestone soils; "Harvested by hand; Grapes are gently pressed; The must is racked by decanting. Wines are never chaptalized. Fermentation occurs naturally with indigenous yeasts in temp-controlled cuves. Malolactic fermentation begins in the Spring with the help of the bacteria present in the lees. Wines age on their lees for 8-10 mos in s/s cuves before bottling."

N: Apples, slightly atop a melding of butter/toast with undertones of minerals

P: Med body; Very RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish oak/frt beautifully counterbalanced by an acidity which deftly controls the action into & through the LONG, tangy/swt (60:40) finish. Lovely for now & probably through '21. 13% ABV; My VG+/EXC-. [This vendor's $14.99 is $2 < wine-searcher's lowest.] (882 views)

P: Med body; Very RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish butter/frt offset by an acidity which evolves into a LONG, decently balanced, very, VERY slightly toasty/bitterish finish. More sense of malo on the P than I'd prefer. Drink now & for the next yr. 13% ABV; My VG+. [This vendor's $14.99 is $2 < wine-searcher's lowest.] (823 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
