    Finish:

High intensity, High length. Acidity lingers for quite awhile
Some bitter aftertaste on the back of the tongue, that slightly lingers .

    Conclusion:

2nd day was much better. on Day 1 i did not like it. it had a very strong bitter taste. (which also seemed to mellow out after a while in the glass on day 1). on the nose, its very clean, fresh. it gives me the impression that this would be very good to drink on a nice cool breezy day on the porch.

On the palate, the acidity was to strong for me. it overshadowed the structure and any other characters (fruit, body, etc) gets very shadowed by it.

in general, the flavor seemed pretty bland. maybe thats just the characteristics of Chard. but i am still not well versed in wine to say for sure.

  • Doran's, I think. Impressive for a '17. Excellent fruit and good energy balanced by age but not showing maturity. A favorite.

  • Quite fruity, would have guessed California. Better with food.

  • Fantastic white burgundy. Definite notes of some kind of nut, fruit but not ripe, possibly slightly tropical. Seems like medium acid but super energetic and really carries the flavors along. Highly recommend, especially with a fish/chicken dish with almonds/walnuts/pine nuts to match the wine.
