Tasted by sstein19 on 12/19/2020 & rated 88 points: Golden and slightly copper in color. Nose of vanilla custard and candies ginger. Almost black licorice too? Fewer bubbles and creamy. Not syrupy but more viscous than a blanc de blancs.

I personally like brut but this is good for a demi-sec. (711 views)
Tasted by Mtpisgah on 12/12/2015: Very interesting. It isn't bad but it is also not what I expected. It is much more like an aged Reisling or Gewurtztraminer than any Champagne I have ever had.

My advice is to drink up, no reason to hold any longer. (2018 views)
Tasted by stufis on 4/5/2015 & rated 88 points: Showing its age as it warms. Meh...probably held this for too long. (2413 views)
Tasted by CIAgrad86 on 12/31/2014 & rated 88 points: Apples, and yeast, but a bitter finish. Have a membership with Schramsberg and get wine, but this is is not as spectacular as others in the past. (1891 views)
Tasted by jnewman77 on 12/31/2014: Really tasty bubbly. Fantastic with dessert. Honey, jasmine, lily, almond, and hazelnut on the nose with a lovely palate that has freshness yet is delicately sweet and overall delicious. (1539 views)
Tasted by jnewman77 on 12/13/2013: Very tasty bubbly. Nose of apple, baked pears, fresh bread. The palate is sumptuous with a lovely rich mouth feel and fresh green fruit flavor. There is a touch of sweetness, but everything remains light. Fantastic with some spicy foods. (2545 views)
Tasted by jnewman77 on 8/2/2013: A nice sparkler with some apple, yeast, and nice mousse. Not fantastic, but tasty on a warm day. (2672 views)
Tasted by mthompson on 12/25/2012 & rated 92 points: Consumed the 07 today, right after the 06 and found the 07 to share the same positive qualities of the 06, however, the 07's fruit was a little less "soft and ripe" than the 06, and will probably taste very similiar to the 06 in another year. Excellent balance, (as always). Had a fresh crispness, zesty citrus flavors with hints of pear and peach. Anxious to try it again next year to compare the evolution of this enjoyable "easy sipping" Demi-Sec. (3070 views)
Tasted by Byronic on 11/24/2012 & rated 91 points: Modest bubbles, soft, creamy sweetness with hints of stoney minerals and grape must (1881 views)
 Tasted by nubbin on 9/1/2012 & rated 90 points: 67% Flora,18% Chardonnay,15% Gewurztraminer.
Appearance: Clear, pale golden.
Nose: Clean, roses and orchard fruit, bubbles.
Palate: De-lovely. Off dry with a light sweetness perfectly balanced with restrained acidity on the finish. Ripe pears, peaches, summer roses & a whisper of apricot cream. Just the right amount of lively bubbles.
Cork closure. 13% abv. (D 4.5, F 6; Pine) (2423 views)
Tasted by Martin Redmond on 3/17/2012 & rated 89 points: Pale gold color with a nice bead of tiny bubbles with fruity stone fruit aromas. On the palate it's creamy, medium-bodied with zesty acidity, and white peach, apricot, mango, and baking spice note flavors. Medium finish (2319 views)
Tasted by bpobric on 2/25/2012 & rated 91 points: Some tropical fruit on the nose. White plum. Medium to long finish. Semi sweet semi dry wit h a long finish. Really. A great sparkling. There is a story that. One of our presidents one year sent all this wine to China...We did not have any that ear.....its been a while...we will not mention the president. Unlike many other sparkling. Still gives that bitter finish I really like....enjoy. Will buy it again. (1892 views)
Tasted by BobKat Cellars on 1/1/2012 & rated 90 points: Certainly not a Brut, but I really enjoyed it. Fairly complex, different and I will buy again. (2086 views)
Tasted by jackal4eva on 12/26/2011 & rated 87 points: Very unique and creamy texture. Slightly sweet. Balanced bouquet. Small bubbles. (1645 views)
Tasted by acox on 11/24/2011: Tropical aromas with peach pie and citrus on the palate. Tiny long lasting bubbles. Nice acidity supporting the fruit. An enjoyable, very slightly sweet bubbly. Made a nice aperitif. (1719 views)
Tasted by flydcjets on 10/16/2011 & rated 91 points: Creamy and silky through out, finish of strawberries, elegant bubbles. (1610 views)
Tasted by Dierenarts on 10/4/2011 & rated 92 points: Consumed with special desert at home for our 30th wedding anniversary, very pleasant nose of tropical fruit, fine bubbles, on the palate, nicely but not overly sweet, hints of apricot, mango, pineapple, and vanilla, soft silky mouth feel with a long pleasant finish. Went fantastically well with our fresh figs, dipped in sugar, caramlized and then reduced a sauce with a fine 10 yr old tawny port, butter and lemon juice served over fresh vanilla bean ice cream. (1811 views)
Tasted by jlehrer on 9/30/2011 & rated 92 points: Consumed with dinner (meats and cheeses). Super tasty, especially with a touch of cassis. Definitely buy again. (1696 views)
Tasted by TPs Vino on 8/4/2011 & rated 91 points: Suprised by the complexity that this has for being sweeter than most. Lingering finish of vanilla. (1703 views)
Tasted by Rgrusin on 5/31/2011 & rated 88 points: Nice sparkling Demi-sec. Slightly sweet but not cloying. Nice acidity with a drier, yeasty finish. (2273 views)
Tasted by MattMauldin on 5/30/2011 & rated 90 points: Tasted at the winery. Bright and fine appearance. Floral and citrus aromas with a faint mineral note. Creamy and rich on the palate, with silky fruit through the finish. (1768 views)
Tasted by DanH on 4/16/2011 & rated 89 points: Good blend of acidic and sweet notes, prominent creamy finish, lots of floral notes, pleasant sparkler. (2060 views)

White Blend

"White blend" means the wine is made from a blend of two or more different white varieties - or in some cases a blend of pink or red varieties that are vinified white, ie. without any skin contact.
A blend of Antao, Arinto, Rouperio.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
