There was some rustic liquorice and chocolate scented fruit, very soft tannins and moderate acid, but I could never conjure any kind of finish out of this. I'm pretty certain a second bottle would have proven this was mildly TCA-tainted. (1036 views) | | Tasted by Tony Molester on 2/10/2016: Fresh aromatics of herbs and cherry. Refreshing, fruity, with light tannins. Slight astringency on finish. Drink or hold 13% abv (1139 views) | | Tasted by Tony Molester on 12/22/2015: NIce frshness and aromatic complexity. light wine, similar to a good bojo although flavours are distinctly more savoury.
Very good for a light and simple quaffer. Drink 13% abv (1088 views) | | Tasted by Fat cat on 10/26/2013 & rated 87 points: A bright well balanced wine with interesting flavours of raspberry and tea all backed up by a dose of acidity providing freshness. Not what I was expecting but an enjoyable wine. (1553 views) | | Tasted by NCO on 3/31/2013: Very good! Lovely nose, great acidity and fraicheur, nice minerality, top p/q! Beiras is home to the more well-known DOCs of Bairrada and Dão, along with the less well-known DOCs of Távora-Varosa in the north, butting up to the Douro region, Lafões in the north west, meeting the southernmost part of the Minho region, and the large DOC Beira Interior in the north east and the south east of Beiras. Bairrada lies to the west of the region, though it doesn’t reach the coast, while Dão occupies the central part of the region. |
