Tasted by asheio on 10/31/2016 & rated 90 points: Plenty of cool, red fruit. Great structure. Excellent Langhe. (2030 views)
Tasted by Massimo Alessandria on 11/5/2015 & rated 89 points: Non ha la potenza dei grandi Barolo di Cavallotto, ma di certo ha tanto equilibrio che spesso manca a molti Barolo. Un dosaggio di legno e frutto ineccepibile. (2378 views)
Tasted by DanielRadar on 10/10/2015 & rated 87 points: - Ruby color with fast forming legs. It's somewhat balanced with a medium body. Round texture. (2566 views)
Tasted by ttholst on 3/23/2015 flawed bottle: P'n'p. (2595 views)
Tasted by Magno on 4/18/2014: The structure is really upfront at this time, to the point it's barely drinkable at opening. Much better on day 2, showing tipical nebbiolo aromas and flavours of dark cherries, tar and violets. It has alot of grip and almost chewable tanins. Seems like it will get there, but needs at least another 5 years. (3339 views)
Tasted by Puteljen! on 12/30/2013 flawed bottle: Badly corked (1859 views)
Tasted by rSyver on 11/23/2013 & rated 86 points: The roughness of 09 is not really here; the tannins are smoother, the fruit is better making it more balanced and I feel the acidity is not up to the previous vintage. However, this is a decent Nebbiolo drinking quite well now. Very Nebbiolo on the nose, mirrored on the palate with an OK length on the finish.

Improves with air. (1412 views)
Tasted by CamWheeler on 8/28/2013 & rated 90 points: Bibendum Portfolio Tasting: Graphite and tar with cherry and licorice. There is plenty of fruit power coupled with bold tannins. More time to settle and develop is recommended. (2703 views)
Tasted by Jeremy Holmes on 6/17/2013: Much of the make up of this terrific Nebbiolo is young vine Barolo ‘Bricco Boschis’ so it is little wonder it looks like very decent Barolo. There’s some tar to the aroma coupled with red berry fruit, lipstick and liquorice. It is dense in the mouth with lovely interplay between sweet fruit, flora and savoury earth elements. It is dense and long with chewy tannins on the back-end. (1797 views)
Tasted by Puteljen! on 5/26/2013 & rated 90 points: Solid nose with intense, dark, young nebbiolo fruit. Shows more character and style than usual on this level. Some spice, black tea, balsa wood and pine resin. Could easily be misstaken for a light, young barolo. Lots of structure on the palate with good acidity and tannins. Needs food. Will benefit from a couple of years in the cellar and will probably continue to drink well for at least 10 years after that. (1205 views)
Tasted by hajoha on 5/8/2013 & rated 84 points: Rødfrukt med noe lakris og anis på nesen.
God konsentrasjon, men med en noe funky munnfølese.
Avslutter med en litt småbesk finish.
Den er god, men det er et eller annet som ikke stemmer helt her. (1128 views)
Tasted by ove_stammrud on 5/3/2013: Luftet en time i karaffel. Røde bær, kirsebær og rips på nese. Stram og ubalansert munnfølelse. Bitter utgang. (1043 views)

Nebbiolo

Nebbiolo is a red grape indigenous to the Piedmont region of Italy in the Northwest. The grape can also be found in other parts of the world, though they are not as respected.

Nebbiolo is often considered the "king of red wines," as it is the grape of the famed wines of Barolo DOCG, Barbaresco DOCG, and Roero DOCG. It is known for high tannins and acidity, but with a distinct finesse. When grown on clay, Nebbiolo can be very powerful, tannic, and require long aging periods to reach its full potential. When grown on sand, the grape exhibits a more approachable body with more elegant fruit and less tannins, but still has high aging potential.

"Nebbiolo" is named for the Italian word, "nebbia", which means "fog", in Italian and rightfully so since there is generally a lot of fog in the foothills of Piedmont during harvest.

Nebbiolo is a late-ripening variety that does best in a continental climate that boasts moderate summers and long autumns. In Piedmont, Nebbiolo is normally harvested in October.
