medium finish
Better than the other bottles i have had. (3528 views) | | Tasted by thewiz on 7/15/2016 & rated 87 points: (Disgorged in fall of 2010) Yellow colour with a small stream of tiny bubbles. Nose is showing a mixture of hay, minerals and citrus. Palate shows tropical fruit and vanilla fudge with a rather short oaky finish. This feels very mature for the vintage already, not sure if they had bad grape selection or what went wrong with this cuvée? (3342 views) | | Tasted by MWiking on 2/27/2015 & rated 80 points: en riktig skitchampange tycker jag,
doften är citron och pappkartong, smaken är bitter med ek päron mm. verkar inte klara ålder så bra. (3487 views) | | Tasted by Ramberg on 2/26/2015 & rated 84 points: Nose was full of young tropical fruits, some rubber and smoke, with minerals and after a while some freshly ground coffee came around. Had something funky as well underneath it all, that somewhat disturbed and reduced the overall impression. On the palate this showed thin, dry and a bit dilute, short and with somewhat unripe green apples, vanilla, and an unpleasant bitterness present. After a while it became sweeter (too sweet for my palate), but still very thin and missing the cut and body. Conclusion: too sweet for me, and missing body and structure, and also the trademark 2002 fine acidity. (83 – 86) (3411 views) | | Tasted by Patrik H on 2/26/2015 & rated 87 points: On the nose, winegum, latex, butter, On the palate, bitter almond, vanilla, mineral, oak not as balanced as expected medium finish (3430 views) | | Tasted by fc1910 on 1/6/2012 & rated 90 points: Drunk on New Year: very typical Champagne, Hints of Nuts, elegant, cremy, quite long (3643 views) | | Tasted by foje on 11/15/2009 & rated 92 points: dette var en veldig god chapagne , denne hadde det meste , men litt trekk på fargen , lang flott ettersmak tror ikke denne utvikler seg noe mere , (3624 views) | | Tasted by ikkaariainen on 8/26/2009 & rated 86 points: A very nice fresh, light and very fruit forward champagne enjoyed yesterday on the Lufthansa cross-Atlantic flight from Munich to Charlotte NC. Effervescent, light yellow with greenish tint, very small bubbles, nose floral and bright, primary flavors included lemon grass, citrus and a hint of honey. Recommend this. (2515 views) | | Tasted by andar on 12/10/2008: gott gott!! (2533 views) | | Tasted by tendring on 7/24/2008 & rated 78 points: Wine Education Service - Champagne: Very pale with large bubbles. A very youthful nose. This wine is far too young and may improve with age, it's just not ready, at present it's all mousse. France - When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of consistent quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them. Champagne - The French region of Champagne (including the cities of Rheims, Épernay, and Aÿ) was the first region in the world to make sparkling wine in any quantity. Today, the name of the region is synonymous with the finest of all sparkling wines, and wine-making traditions of Champagne have become role models for sparkling wine producers, worldwide. Surprisingly, the region of Champagne is now responsible for only one bottle in 12 of all sparkling wine produced. Styles of champagne range in sweetness ranging from an extra brut or brut 0, to the basic brut to demi sec to doux; some houses produce single vintage champagnes and others produce non-vintage (or incorporate wines/grapes of multiple vintages), often to preserve a specific taste; combinations of grape varietals; and colors, including a rosé. There are several sub-appellations, including the Valley of the Marnes river running from Épernay west, Massif de Saint-Thierry north and west of Rheims, Valley of the Ardre, the Mountains of Rheims (between Rheims and Épernay), Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, and Côte des Bar in the South. Champagne wine only uses three grape varietals (cépages): Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.ChampagneThe vineyards of Champagne on weinlagen-info |
