Tasted by Burgundy Al on 7/26/2023 & rated 88 points: Still wonderfully holding its own. Variety of citrus aromas and flavors with good density for a wine at this price, this ends with a crunchy, minerally character that whispers about the sea. (901 views)
Tasted by Giacomo on 3/31/2019: 3/5

Pleasant enough, simply fun to drink a Vernaccia.

Buy again for everyday, at this price. (930 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 10/22/2018 & rated 88 points: Lemon, lime and grapefruit with some candied peel. Hint of sweetness to start, with fades towards medium-long finish. Very good value wine. (1510 views)
Tasted by jsherdc on 6/2/2018 & rated 91 points: Lovely grapefruit. Like a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc (slightly tropical) with slightly less acidity. Very tasty. 91/92 (1127 views)
Tasted by chifred on 12/20/2016 & rated 89 points: Similar to prior. Very nice and great alternative. (1847 views)
Tasted by chifred on 2/19/2016 & rated 90 points: 56F PnP Medium yellow. Nose with citrus and something funky - cat pee (but very faint). Interesting medium mouthfeel with various flavors running through it. Fruit but nothing to but a finger on. Good acid and nice balance attack/midpalate/finish. No experience with this wine and hard to place. Enjoyable on both first approach and with some thought. An outperformer at this price. This is my first bottle and last TN on CT is almost a year old. Tasting notes seem very mixed... I think this wine is still developing and will wait another year to check out my second bottle... (2098 views)
Tasted by David Paris (dbp) on 4/23/2014 & rated 87 points: Nice lime green color makes this look like lemon lime water. Initially soft green apple skin with lemon on top on the nose, coupled with sweet honeydew melon meat. Soft and zesty on the palate, showing some slightly spritziness. Puckering sour apple candy with a coating, sour candy texture. Mineral notes primarily on the finish, with moderate acidity that lingers quite long, which is the dominant note. Even a minute later the tongue is still zinging from this wine. Very nice sensation. Again, like I just chewed up an atomic warhead or something. A nice straight forward quaffer, but nothing too compelling really. Same on day two. (3517 views)
Tasted by thebonnydooner on 3/29/2014 & rated 90 points: Light to medium bodied, crisp enough but with a nice mouthfilling texture, very tasty. (3229 views)
Tasted by drdebs on 1/28/2014 & rated 90 points: A very nice white wine with grapefruit and floral aromas. White grapefruit on the palate, with mineral and that distinctive sesame note that the previous taster noted. A lot going on for $17 IMHO, and nice to drink a well-made example that takes what is often a simple, pleasant wine and moves it up a notch or two in complexity. (3464 views)
Tasted by Enfant sauvage on 12/4/2013: A nice little wine, it exceeded my expectations in terms of complexity. Decent tropical fruit and a distinct sesame note were its most salient components. That said, I don't think this was any sort of amazing bargain, even at the garagiste price of $17 (plus shipping). A nice little white, but there are plenty in the $15 range that are equal or superior to this wine. (3015 views)
Tasted by Mr T on 11/17/2013: lovely wine...why our house white will always be Italian given the choice...wish I had to share less and got to keep more of it for just Sue and I (2604 views)
Tasted by gordoyflaca on 10/3/2013 & rated 91 points: Like it, rich and tangy with nose of nectarine skins (1374 views)
Tasted by Mr T on 9/4/2013: I liked it and thought it had nice aromatics, good fruit and nice cut...Sue less impressed. I only got a small taste (1425 views)
Tasted by UpfromtheCellar on 8/27/2013 & rated 89 points: This GR3 white certainly lives up to the hype. Floral, piercing, yet balanced, (??), intense, light lively, great finish. Wow, wonderful wine.

Grapefruits, flowers, minerals, juicy, nice finish. Really an extremely nice mid/light weight bottle of wine.

Next year I am buying a case of this stuff. Only 2 bottles left... (1507 views)
Tasted by UpfromtheCellar on 7/15/2013 & rated 89 points: My first introduction to this wine, its big bodied, full, rich, nicely balanced. Paired very well with a pork and fruit dish. I liked it a lot. A GR 3 glasses rating as well. Good QPR at around $16.

Reminded me of a Greco di Tufo I had recently (well last year already but in the over all scheme of things that still qualifies as recently right?). I did not get all the green apple or lemony profiles mentioned by several, to me it was more fresh cut hay, pear, a touch of bitter almond on the palate, minerals but no iodine. All in all a complex mouthful. Very nice! (1516 views)
Tasted by soyhead on 6/15/2013 & rated 89 points: tates with bethany -green apple, pear, crisp stream, a very focused wine, elegant, for food (1388 views)
Tasted by soyhead on 6/2/2013 & rated 90 points: Limited notes- pear, herbs, minerality. Hint of mint at the end. Nice (1317 views)
Tasted by Atwellian on 5/27/2013 & rated 82 points: Pale, light mettalic gold. Mild citrus nose. Somewhat bland. Mild bitterness, watery mid palate. Shortish finish. (1132 views)
Tasted by Firefly78 on 5/27/2013 & rated 82 points: Boring and pointless. (1162 views)
Tasted by urban_dk on 5/20/2013 & rated 88 points: Wow - Vernaccia I actually enjoy. Sampled over two nights. First night revealed lemony citrus and intense minerality. Sealed up half the bottle and refrigerated overnight. What a difference! The lemony notes were still there, but the mid-palate had fleshed out to reveal tropical fruit and spices. Still had a refreshing dry finish. Finally, a San Gimignano wine that lives up to the beautiful locale from which it came. (1158 views)
