	Tasted by Big Dog on 7/13/2017 & rated 88 points: This is the first birth year wine I have had from a terrible vintage from around the world. I was lucky enough to have been given this bottle from a person who has stored it in his cellar since release. I was not expecting much but was presently surprised. Had mature flavors of dried cherries, mushrooms and earth. A great treat! (1092 views)

Sangiovese Blend

Sangiovese blend is used in CellarTracker for Italian wines to represent wines predominantly made of Sangiovese and blended with traditional Italian grapes. It is different than SuperTuscan which is a blend of Sangiovese with non-traditional (eg Bordeaux) varieties, often in closer to equal portions. For example, Chianti is at least 80% Sangiovese and will always be listed Sangiovese blend.
