Tasted by dalemosier on 11/11/2017 & rated 89 points: Continues a strong favorite for guests (719 views)
Tasted by dalemosier on 9/5/2017 & rated 89 points: My last comment was that it a little too bland for my taste. I say this as a red wine drinker, but we had it last night with halibut and it was an excellent combination. The peach with butterscotch taste came through nicely and it had a good balance.  Tasted by dalemosier on 7/4/2017 & rated 88 points: Pleasant, but too bland for my desires. (783 views)
Tasted by cltean on 8/8/2015 & rated 88 points: I bought this bottle at their huge vineyard in Eugene, OR after the Tennessee/Oregon football game on Saturday, September 14, 2013. Since it was close to harvest season, I distinctly remember cannons going off to scare away the birds away from vines. Had a great dinner there with spectacular views of the surrounding hillsides at sunset and watching far distance cars passing on the road below. Their charcuterie is produced on the premises and was the highlight of dinner menu. I would highly recommend a visit. A lovely nose with a light, clean and balanced Pinot Gris. Notes of straw with a clean finish. Slightly tart. 13.8% alcohol. (1233 views)
Tasted by randy80831 on 12/13/2014 & rated 90 points: Color is almost clear with the lightest hint of straw. A very floral aroma is quite evident in the moderately aromatic nose present shortly after opening the wine. The wine has a very clean green fruit taste (pears) with maybe a hint of minerality and a short finish and light body. The wine is very balanced in acidity, alcohol, and tannins; none shine too brightly. A very well done Pinot Gris! Would not hesitate to buy again. (1572 views)
Tasted by KenPlace on 11/30/2014 & rated 88 points: Very nice Pinot Gris. Good complexity with a slight bitter note on the finish. (1167 views)
Tasted by mn47 on 9/7/2014 & rated 88 points: Plutôt minéral au nez. Une belle complexité en bouche: litchi, miel, pomme et rhubarbe. Une belle rondeur somme toute. Rapport Q/P honnête. (1173 views)
Tasted by morrisck on 8/20/2014 & rated 88 points: Very pale gold color. Floral to nose possibly honeysuckle with a hint of melon. Start of cantaloupe with hint of grapefruit. Finish is medium long with a smooth viscosity of grass and and citrus. (1227 views)
Tasted by khau0511 on 7/23/2014 & rated 91 points: Solid summer white. (920 views)
Tasted by Baron Slick on 5/17/2014 & rated 89 points: Limpid straw. Very clean, balanced, and restrained, this has a pretty, floral element that sweetens the pear, honeysuckle, and melon aromas. The texture has a supple feel, with lime blossom, matching acidity, and crystallized fruit on the crisp finish. (787 views)
Tasted by wtianseter on 5/9/2014 & rated 87 points: This showed a bit less fruit than I remembered from past bottles. Nice balance and bright crispness. Finish had a bit of nice tartness. (713 views)
Tasted by chatters on 4/25/2014: Spring Bacchanal with Winemaker Ken Wright (Roti Roppongi, Tokyo, Japan): candied pear and stone fruit, very fruity nose. Sweet pear fruit dominates followed by some mid palate grip which all disseminates quite quickly on the short finish. Simple. (1173 views)
Tasted by khau0511 on 4/10/2014: Yum. Buy again :) (700 views)
Tasted by M.Batard on 3/25/2014 & rated 89 points: Very pale straw color. Prairie grass (I stole that from another vintage's notes!) and Asian pear on a tart citrusy acidic palate. Medium long finish. I quite like this! Paired with herb-stuffed chicken breast, but would try with sushi as well. (623 views)
Tasted by KenPlace on 3/16/2014 & rated 91 points: Good depth, flavor and balance. (620 views)
Tasted by wtianseter on 2/9/2014 & rated 89 points: Lead off with this wine at a wine tasting. Nice light slightly golden color. The nose is of flowers. The taste is a very nicely balanced fruity lead with a good touch of minerality. Finish is smooth and subtle full mouth (562 views)

Pinot Gris

From Pinot Gris Wikipedia entry:
Wines made from the Pinot gris vary greatly and are dependent on the region and wine making style they are from. Alsatian Pinot gris are medium to full bodied wines with a rich, somewhat floral bouquet. They tend to be spicy in comparisons with other Pinot gris. While most Pinot gris are meant to be consumed early, Alsatian Pinot gris can age well. German Pinot gris are more full-bodied with a balance of acidity and slight sweetness. In Oregon the wines are medium bodied with a yellow to copper-pink color and aromas of pear, apple, and/or melon. In California, the Pinot gris are more light bodied with a crisp, refreshing taste with some pepper and arugula notes. The Pinot grigio style of Italy is a light-bodied, often lean wine that is light in color with sometimes spritzy flavors that can be crisp and acidic. Although this wine can be very sweet, it will begin to lose its acidity when it is nearly ripe.

Pinot gris is considered an "early to market wine" that can be bottled and out on the market within 4–12 weeks after fermentation.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.
