Tasted by James Kim on 11/1/2016: Drank this a long time ago. Can't remember details but remember enjoying this a fair amount. (448 views)
Tasted by TheJohnnyV on 7/7/2016 & rated 91 points: Perfect pairing with Paella (860 views)
Tasted by David_T on 6/22/2016 & rated 88 points: Unique. Can taste what was skin fermented which adds light tannins. Lots of minerals up front. Pear, a bit of stone fruit, some citrus and some grass. Medium finish, lots of structure. A fair amount of complexity, it just doesn't seamlessly integrate. (892 views)
Tasted by CMN on 3/14/2016: A translucent yellow that appeared slightly cloudy in the bottle. Nose is tropical fruit/pineapple and lemon. The palate is predominantly lemon and minerals. There's a good amount of acidity in the wine and some floral notes as well. The mouthfeel is noteworthy, medium bodies with a distinct oily quality and a slightly short finish on which a distinct note of Asian pear appears.

This wine is an interesting blend of 75% Sauvigon Blanc and 25% skin-fermented Ribolla Gialla. I don't think that I would have pegged this as a Sauvignon Blanc blind...the acidity reminds me of a Melon de Bourgogne, but it lacks that saline quality. Very interesting blend and would pair well with most seafood dishes. (1148 views)
Tasted by MikeATL on 8/5/2015 & rated 90 points: A Special Dinner (Park 75, Four Seasons Hotel, Atlanta): Funky, mixing tropical fruit, ripe pear, Ribolla oiliness, and a little lemon and minerals, with a good acidic backbone. (1802 views)
Tasted by rc@ughey on 7/6/2015 & rated 89 points: Tasty and well-balanced. Ripe fruits with some exotic notes. Not terribly complex but really satisfying. (1049 views)
Tasted by James Kim on 1/25/2015 & rated 91 points: Slightly cloudy pale yellow. Opened for 2 h. Initially tart citrus aromas and flavors with the texture of skin contact wine. Now, nice aromas of tart apples, citrus, pears, mint, eucalyptus and minerals. P - gala apples, unripe pears, minerals, a hint of mint and eucalyptus, minerals. Nice acidity with skin contact depth and mild tannins in mid-palate. Finishes with pink grapefruit, apples, w a kick of tannin. Nice lingering finish. Nicely done. Complex but still really fresh. More harmonious than the first bottle. (95 views)
Tasted by James Kim on 12/6/2014 & rated 90 points: From memory. Had this with Thanksgiving. Really nice and interesting. The sauvignon blanc and ribolla are completely distinct at this stage. SB hits first followed by a second wave of deeper skin contact ribolla. Wait another year before the next bottle to see if harmonizes? (91 views)

White Blend

"White blend" means the wine is made from a blend of two or more different white varieties - or in some cases a blend of pink or red varieties that are vinified white, ie. without any skin contact.
A blend of Antao, Arinto, Rouperio.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson

North Coast

The North Coast American Viticultural Area (AVA) in California, covering more than three million acres, includes Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake counties, and portions of Marin and Solano counties. (see The Wine Institute for more information)
