Tasted by Sasha the Bear on 5/4/2024 & rated 91 points: With Molly and kjell celebrating Sophia (319 views)
Tasted by MikeDB on 4/13/2024 & rated 89 points: Solid champagne. Brioche, lemon curd, pear and green apple. Round and ripe style. Thought it was better and fresher right after opening than with air, so I’d drink it up within the first hour or two. (598 views)
Tasted by Putnam Weekley on 3/30/2024 & rated 91 points: disgorged 3/'22. Huge success. Nougat mixed with conference pear and lemon. Energetic. Edged. Emphatic chalk. Brulée green grapes. Poppyseed. (824 views)
Tasted by aChave on 2/17/2024: Lively and delicious…!
Disgorged 06/19 (1250 views)
Tasted by Jlafin on 2/15/2024: Deg 02/21. Köpt på plats 2021. Doftar friskt, färsk jäst och fruktigt. Smaken av mogna gula äpplen först, sen brioche, sälta och citrus. Lång balanserad finish. En favorit! (1097 views)
Tasted by PSPatrick on 1/24/2024 & rated 90 points: A blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. Disgorged in February 2023. Medium yellow gold. Apple, lemon, dough, biscuit, chalk, and smoke, with high, fresh acidity, and very good length. Pleasant Aspirin-like bitterness on the finish. The mousse is medium-fine and still a little aggressive. Good concentration. Very young, but very promising. Needs another year at least. 90(+) (1490 views)
Tasted by scorbett on 12/24/2023: Disgorged 7/22. In our opinion, not ready. Very acidic, heavy citrus taste. Worked a bit better with air and closer to room temp.

I'd wait longer. (1357 views)
Tasted by sleepyhaus on 12/10/2023: From 375. Oct. 2021 disgorgement. Really nice bottle, fresh with good balance and breadth on the palate. Probably at the top of what I normally drink in terms of dosage, but carries it well. I checked, and found it's 7 g/l, and that's about what it feels like, but again, well balanced. A great wine to have in halves for an easy apertif. (1534 views)
Tasted by klezman on 12/7/2023: 2022-07 disgorgement. Solid bubbly, a bit sweeter than expected, nice brioche notes and bubbles. Also alternated between open aromas and kid of closed down. (1503 views)
Tasted by La Cave d'Argent on 12/7/2023 & rated 92 points: This version of Paul Bara's nonvintage Brut Reserve (Lot #135282, disgorged February 2022) is a straw-colored blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. Sporting an active small bead and creamy mousse, it offers aromas of lime zest, Anjou pears, toasted almonds, brioche, cardamom and wet stones. Medium-bodied, crisply acidic and dense on the mid-palate, it delivers flavors that align with the aromas and finishes with good length. Bottles from this particular lot should show well over the next 3-4 years. Drink now-2027. (1385 views)
Tasted by icury on 11/27/2023: missing or presumed drunk (1394 views)
Tasted by rocknroller on 9/30/2023 & rated 92 points: Lught gold color. Split with our group. From 375ml. Up on Leveaux Mtn with our picnic lunch. These are so darn good. Spot on from my previous notes. Great intensity, a classic Chamapgne style. Great exture and depth with wonderful toast and brioche. Definitely need to reload. (1712 views)
Tasted by Harley1199 on 9/20/2023: Served by the glass. To start in the art of this house in Bouzy where as it is traditional, a dosage raised to nine grams of sugar per liter receives you and advised to lay down. A majority blend of pinot noir and complemented by 20% chardonnay. For now aromas of cherries and red plums dominate the panorama. On the palate it is decidedly acidic and quite simple and remains to develop complexity in another seven years or so.

(1673 views)
Tasted by Njbern on 7/21/2023 & rated 89 points: Very rich and bready. But did not wow me. A little one note (1659 views)
Tasted by rocknroller on 7/5/2023 & rated 92 points: Pale gold color. Drank a glass from 375ml over an hour. Wonderfully balanced, pearl, toast, stone, green apple peel, ultra crisp and expressive. Loved it. 92+ to 93pts. (2027 views)
Tasted by Frank Murray III on 6/29/2023: Champagne Bookclub (served blind)--Paul (Bricco Cucina in Laguna Niguel): Served blind. Paired with the more expensive 2012 Bara Comtesse and in this flight, like that of the Bereche flight we did, I preferred the less expensive wine of the blind pairing. 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay with 7 grams of dosage and 6 years on the lees. Some lemon-lime yet it maintains good balance. It shows some nice power, too. (2184 views)
Tasted by rocknroller on 6/18/2023 & rated 92 points: Light gold color. Drank a glass over an hour. Bread dough, wet stones, pear and green apple on the nose. The palate is bright, nice acid and overall balance, creamy, pear glace, panna cotta, just a little tropical fruit infusion on the finish. Quite appealing. (1744 views)
Tasted by hooods on 6/17/2023 & rated 90 points: Excellent standard cuvée. Very well balanced with decent pinot power and great freshness. Yummy! (1401 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 4/15/2023 & rated 90 points: Tax Relief Tasting (Chicago Wine - Glenview IL): Walkaround tasting. Current release. Long and bright with very good balance, good length and textures. (2455 views)
Tasted by Charlie Carnes on 3/31/2023 & rated 87 points: These were merely good, not early as exciting as the rosé. It has yellow fruit, it’s a little weighty, nice creamy bubbles though. My two bottles were discouraged in July 2021. (1987 views)
Tasted by jlhkiss on 12/25/2022 & rated 92 points: Consistent with past notes. Paired nicely with early afternoon Christmas brunch/lunch. Drink now. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92. (2131 views)
Tasted by huevosconvino on 12/24/2022: Disgorged in February 2022. Sweeter than I recall the prior versions of this wine, though I don't know what the dosage is (no info on the label). Nice, fairly simple. (1736 views)
Tasted by MC2 Wines on 11/27/2022: Piemonte: Back to the truffling!; 11/24/2022-12/3/2022 (Wineries and various restaurants): A totally fine classic style of champagne. Not really meant to be overly contemplated but a great palate warmer and some nice bubbles to sip through the meal. (3050 views)
Tasted by Odedis.Wine.reviews on 11/19/2022 & rated 89 points: Pretty color of light gold.

Strong nose of citrus, apples, yeast, brioche, fresh baked bread, limes, minerals and light almond.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.

Dry on the palate with limes, lemons, green and red apples, earth and yeast.

Tangy finish with limes and bitter herbs.

This Non Vintage Grand Cru Champagne is very tasty.

Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel, and better when not too cold. Tangy and interesting.

Good by itself or with food, and better after some airtime. I had it before, and this time I decided to let it breathe in the bottle for an hour. I liked it better this time.

Wine Spectator 92 points.

Paired nicely with caviar, but good by itself too.

A blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. Aged in French oak barrels for a few months.

12.5% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

$50. (2026 views)
Tasted by bestdamncab on 11/10/2022 & rated 91 points: Flatiron Wine & spirits (San Francisco, Ca.): Nose of lemon, sliced apple, brioche, and floral notes, same on the palate, medium body, tasty, rich fruit, good acid, needs 2 years to peak, 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, forward tasting among its peers tonight, medium/long finish, and a nice aftertaste of honey/sweet fruit, $58. IMO, this Champagne has been a consistent winner championed by Kermit Lynch. (2028 views)

Champagne

Le Champagne (Le comité interprofessionnel du vin de Champagne) | Grandes Marques & Maisons de Champagne (Union des Maisons de Champagne)

France - When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of consistent quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them. Click for a list of bestselling items from all of France.
Sub-Region:

Champagne - The French region of Champagne (including the cities of Rheims, Épernay, and Aÿ) was the first region in the world to make sparkling wine in any quantity. Today, the name of the region is synonymous with the finest of all sparkling wines, and wine-making traditions of Champagne have become role models for sparkling wine producers, worldwide. Surprisingly, the region of Champagne is now responsible for only one bottle in 12 of all sparkling wine produced. Styles of champagne range in sweetness ranging from an extra brut or brut 0, to the basic brut to demi sec to doux; some houses produce single vintage champagnes and others produce non-vintage (or incorporate wines/grapes of multiple vintages), often to preserve a specific taste; combinations of grape varietals; and colors, including a rosé. There are several sub-appellations, including the Valley of the Marnes river running from Épernay west, Massif de Saint-Thierry north and west of Rheims, Valley of the Ardre, the Mountains of Rheims (between Rheims and Épernay), Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, and Côte des Bar in the South. Champagne wine only uses three grape varietals (cépages): Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
