Tasted by elfez on 12/19/2020 & rated 91 points: Delicious, mature, just want you want from a $40 before type of champagne purchased 5 years ago. (1077 views)
Tasted by GNBB on 8/31/2019 & rated 91 points: A late disgorged Champagne with superb rich brioche nose and palate. Shows great finesse and balance. An excellent pairing with cheese, particularly the Champagne friendly Langres and some complex hard cheeses such as Comté. (1354 views)
Tasted by lmbernstein on 4/11/2017 & rated 86 points: Disappointing. Bone dry with little complexity, no secondary flavors no appreciable fruit. (2487 views)
Assez long et persistant. Très bon. (2802 views)
Tasted by JimmyBubbles on 7/15/2016 & rated 90 points: Tremendo deguelle del 2011 encontrado por arte de magia en una cervecería de barrio.

Pastelería, barro, flores, fruta madura. Nariz definida, cambiante, desarrollada.

(3218 views)
Tasted by Rezy13 on 5/13/2015: Deeper yellow; almond, biscuit, golden apple; nice fullness, pineapple, nuts, green apple; interesting. (3257 views)
Tasted by Bobhelge on 4/24/2015: Dried figs, pear, oxidized apple and citrus. Fresh and delicate, but not overly complex and with no strong tones of autolysis. (1681 views)
Tasted by tastark on 8/24/2014 & rated 87 points: A good, if linear, grower Champagne. Well made, but not much depth. (2859 views)
Tasted by maxima on 12/9/2013 & rated 90 points: Beaucoup de bulle fines et persistentes.
Nez sur la brioche et les coquillages.
Très vineux et frais en bouche. Finale longue.
Très beau et gouteux! (3190 views)
Tasted by Bro on 10/19/2013 & rated 89 points: Robe de teinte jaune paille foncé ...
(2812 views)
Tasted by pwillen1 on 9/18/2013: Lots of creamy, vanilla mousse on the nose. Some apple, but also the minerality presented itself as bitterness that was at times distracting. Good chardonnay flavor. Interestingly, more aromatic at colder temp than warmer, perhaps due to strong carbonation. (2687 views)
Tasted by David Paris (dbp) on 5/17/2013 & rated 90 points: Terres et Vins de Champagne 'a Portland; 5/17/2013-5/18/2013 (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR): Quieter than the rose, showing soft minerality. Nice apple core on the palate with good sweetness of fruit, some gravel notion, and overall fairly pretty. The finish is nice and soft, but gets into some intense minerality as it lingers. (3507 views)
(1730 views)
Tasted by Bro on 1/5/2013 & rated 89 points: Je maintiens les commentaires du 1er janvier ... (1780 views)

(1697 views)
Tasted by rjonwine@gmail.com on 10/1/2012 & rated 89 points: 8th Annual Institute of Masters of Wine Champagne Tasting (Port Commission Hearing Room, Ferry Plaza Building San Francisco): Light yellow color with abundant mousse; toasty, baked pear, baked apple nose; toasty, baked pear, baked apple palate; medium-plus finish 89+ points (1827 views)
Tasted by rocknroller on 2/19/2012 & rated 88 points: Tasting Group Dinner: Piedmont (Damico Kitchen): Nutty, yeast, apple. Served too warm, but decent showing. (2711 views)
Tasted by Bellissimo on 2/19/2012: Brought to a group dinner; unfortunately got too warm on the ride there. Still solid for the money with nice apple, toasted almond and plenty of yeast. Solid (1909 views)
Tasted by mattyboy_ on 1/22/2012 & rated 80 points: Very disappointed in this Champagne - very poorly made. This ran out of beads within 30 mins. Nose is overpowered with yeast which masked other potential secondary aromas. Also a bit flabby for a BdB. This was disgorged in Oct 2010 - my guess is that it's over the hill already. (2034 views)
Tasted by Lord Rodney on 8/8/2011 & rated 89 points: Good well made Blanc de Blanc but lacks some complexity and length to be really outstanding. There are better ones out there for the same price. (2294 views)
Tasted by jtech on 7/28/2011 & rated 86 points: Clear beige/straw yellow color. Nice steady stream of bubbles.

Fresh clean young nose, red apples, tangerine, hints of sourdough. Starting to develop, some subtle tones of chocolate/mocca, some butter. The minerality of chalk plays through the whole nose.
Very clean refreshing on the palate, very well balanced. The residual sugar plays very well here. The mousse is very comfortable, an elegant wine. Also here the minerals seem present.
The finish is medium long, with some fruitiness of apples and minerals.

(Think it was degorged April 2010, but before I could confirm my friend threw the bottle away...) (2070 views)
Tasted by Dave Dalluge on 10/27/2010 flawed bottle: Wines with Nita's Tasting Menu: Corked. (2960 views)

Champagne

Le Champagne (Le comité interprofessionnel du vin de Champagne) | Grandes Marques & Maisons de Champagne (Union des Maisons de Champagne)

France - When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of consistent quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them. Click for a list of bestselling items from all of France.
Sub-Region:

Champagne - The French region of Champagne (including the cities of Rheims, Épernay, and Aÿ) was the first region in the world to make sparkling wine in any quantity. Today, the name of the region is synonymous with the finest of all sparkling wines, and wine-making traditions of Champagne have become role models for sparkling wine producers, worldwide. Surprisingly, the region of Champagne is now responsible for only one bottle in 12 of all sparkling wine produced. Styles of champagne range in sweetness ranging from an extra brut or brut 0, to the basic brut to demi sec to doux; some houses produce single vintage champagnes and others produce non-vintage (or incorporate wines/grapes of multiple vintages), often to preserve a specific taste; combinations of grape varietals; and colors, including a rosé. There are several sub-appellations, including the Valley of the Marnes river running from Épernay west, Massif de Saint-Thierry north and west of Rheims, Valley of the Ardre, the Mountains of Rheims (between Rheims and Épernay), Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, and Côte des Bar in the South. Champagne wine only uses three grape varietals (cépages): Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
