Tasted by wine maestro on 9/5/2016 & rated 93 points: Tremendous red wine from Curt and Sans Liege. (408 views)
Tasted by wine maestro on 5/17/2014 & rated 93 points: HIGHLY RECOMMEND (324 views)
Tasted by jimmymac on 11/24/2013 & rated 92 points: Drinking gorgeously right now. Explosive dark fruit layered with earth and fennel. Long finish. Decanted for 1 hour. (3373 views)
Tasted by wineguy58 on 3/2/2013 & rated 91 points: medium bodied berries and some kirsch. Agreed with the spanish granache remark (3748 views)
Tasted by christophee on 2/8/2013 & rated 91 points: Garnet with ruby hues and medium viscosity in the glass. Rustic nose of raspberry, mint, herbs and sandalwood with a touch of candied cherry. Med-full body with explosive red fruit, cherry, boysenberry, hide, olive and earth on the palate. Secondary sunflower and singed tobacco. Moderately complex with delicate nuances around its corners. Striking balance of bold, layered fruit and textures. Long finish. Very impressive. (3707 views)
Tasted by spidersva on 9/6/2012 & rated 92 points: Big, meaty grenache - this is so different from French or even Washington state grenache. More like Spanish garnacha. (3968 views)
Tasted by sbfireman on 2/24/2012 & rated 95 points: What a wonderful drinking window! Clarity of fruit - powerful - intense - subtle - depth of character. Grenache at its finest. A great ride that got better. Bravo (4886 views)
Tasted by tairanosaurus on 9/18/2011 & rated 94 points: My favorite so far from Curt. Beautiful dusty big red fruit on the nose. In the mouth, first I get big layers of black and red fruit mixed with a sweet cocoa. Then I pick up the stemmy tanins and earth elements mid palate - but the layers of fruit remain strong. Fruit lingers on finish for long time. Great mouthfeel. Wow! (2704 views)
Tasted by snaff on 6/10/2011 & rated 94 points: Big and intense, but still with an elegance and subtlety. Bright red fruit core with a long finish of butterscotch to round out the fruit. (2806 views)
Tasted by sbfireman on 5/31/2011 & rated 95 points: Why did I not buy more?? Just a great blend of fruit on the front end, smooth in the middle, and a great ride for the finish. Strong in all aspects. Wish I had more to taste in a few years. (2689 views)
Tasted by sbfireman on 3/14/2011 & rated 93 points: A real winner - running on all cylinders. Take that which you like from the notes below, add 'em all in, and there you go. (2566 views)
Tasted by cmkjbs on 2/7/2011 & rated 91 points: Knockout wine. Lush and juicy but not overbearing in its berriness. (2634 views)
Tasted by Maliblue on 1/31/2011 & rated 94 points: Ditto on the massiveness. The smell is like putting your nose in a jar of vanilla. wow! Still quite young. Popped/poured throgh a vinturi...still serious tannins. That being said a velvety midpalate and mouth feel. This is going to mellow out with age and be an absolute bombshell of a wine. (2734 views)
Tasted by Drankthewholebottle on 1/1/2011 & rated 92 points: Massive! (2469 views)
Tasted by sbfireman on 12/21/2010 & rated 93 points: Big glass of fruit! Lush in the glass, very coating in the mouth. Lots of berry. Very, very nice. (2733 views)
Tasted by wineguy58 on 9/20/2010: Fresh acai berries and cocao powder. Great fruit currently disjointed but can see it evolving over time. 90-92 pts Drink between 2011-2016 (2751 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
