Now darkish yellow in color. Apricot, dried fruit, apple and some citrus. Flint, butter scotch, nutmeg. Still drinking nicely but lacking the freshness and length it once had. A 2nd bottle opened was faulty, oxidized. Both were purchased from a retailer for which storage conditions could not be verified. Relatively moderate on the oak, with minerals, nuts, citrus. Very nice indeed. This had a fruity nose of apricots, white flowers and hints of melted butter. Quite a well balanced and fruity mid-palate with nice acidity. Very enjoyable but not as interesting as the 2000.
