| Community Tasting Notes (average 85.2 pts. and median of 86 pts. in 24 notes) - hiding notes with no text | | Tasted by rmcubed on 8/21/2020 & rated 76 points: despite its advanced age, still pleasantly drinkable (in a screwcap may have helped). Good structure, some body, but light enough to drink as an apéritif. Lemony on the nose, dry on the palate, finishes with quite a lot of acidity, maybe too much for the genre. Un rosé sec à l’acidité rafraîchissante et qui trouvera avantage à être dégusté autour d’une table avec des mets léger sous le signe de la période estivale. (2566 views) | | Tasted by forceberry on 5/22/2015 & rated 82 points: From the conspicuously curvy bottle.
Translucent, pale salmon red color. Aromas of strawberry, peach, some gooseberry and light herbal notes along with reductive hints of play-dough and a touch of gunpowder. Light-bodied and moderately high on the palate with dry, refreshing flavors of peach, herbs, some ripe citrus fruits, a little wild strawberry and a hint of pomelo. Overall the wine has a bit thin and slightly bitter taste. The finish is medium-long with flavors of pithy grapefruit, ripe citrus fruits, redcurrants and some wild strawberry.
Oh well. A very basic Provencal rosé wine. Works nicely on its own, well-chilled on a hot summer's day, but offers very little of anything memorable. This isn't a bad wine, this is just so predictable it is boring and thus, quite mediocre, even though it shows good balance and structure with refreshing, almost lemony acidity. There just isn't anything that could lift it above its peers. (1415 views) | | Tasted by phil the agony on 5/15/2015 & rated 86 points: Petit rosé frais à saveur de fraise fraîche. Bon sans trop poser de questions (2460 views) | | Tasted by Hornezd on 12/7/2014 & rated 85 points: Overly sweet. (2594 views) | | Tasted by RogerG on 8/21/2014: Creamy and berries. Beautiful color. (669 views) | | Tasted by timewithwine on 7/13/2014: Not certain when we drank this, but probably within a couple of days of the purchase. Not recalling much from the wine other than not liking it at all. (22 views) | | Tasted by cuffthis on 6/9/2014 & rated 85 points: Pale salmon in color, this wine showed strawberry, watermelon and pine resin on the nose. The mouth feel brought juicy but dry acidity and added notes of ruby red grapefruit and a tart, rhubarb like astringency. The finish was medium with continued tart elements.
Purchased for $12.50US, this rose' drank decently but the tart elements brought down my score a few notches. I wasn't expecting that it was unpleasant. (2000 views) | | Tasted by edog77 on 5/22/2014 & rated 86 points: Nose of grapefruit and melon. Light salmon color. Palate of citrus, melon midpalate, and a strawberry like tartness on the finish. Dry. (1767 views) |
