Tasted by dwwkelly on 3/30/2024 & rated 85 points: The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis), raspberry and black pepper. It tastes like raspberry, black currant (cassis), vanilla and tobacco. The body is medium. The wine has low acidity. (195 views)
Tasted by FosterZap on 10/13/2023 & rated 89 points: Medium body , good fruit, mellow tannins and little earthiness (725 views)
Tasted by jcoemd on 9/4/2023 & rated 90 points: Moderately tannic with notes of raspberry, strawberry, and cherry. A very balanced wine, but slightly acidic, and perhaps a little bit too much fruit forward. Nevertheless. a very quality wine that pairs well with ribeye steak. 4 Stars. (758 views)
Tasted by VinoEtSeq on 7/28/2023 & rated 89 points: Medium+ body with smooth tannins and black fruits. (808 views)
Tasted by David 123 on 9/25/2022: Best value of the evening (1765 views)
Tasted by Coswinetaster on 9/11/2022 & rated 88 points: Dark ruby with slow legs. Strawberry on the nose. Light to medium on the palate. Strawberry, tart raspberry, and some mineral on the palate. Tart, mildly spicy, medium finish. The wine is lighter than most cabs, but a pretty good bottle. (1615 views)
Tasted by BHwine on 8/5/2022 & rated 83 points: So i have found in the past that if you hold Justin wines( Cabernet) for a little while that they develop some secondary notes. well that isn't the case anymore ; as these wines are made to be consumed within 2 years of release. This bottle was more port like than Cabernet. all the dark fruit was gone and it was flabby and no structure. glad this was only bottle of this vintage left. If you have any left drink it NOW; do not hold this any longer. (1379 views)
Tasted by J+B_Wines on 1/20/2022 & rated 86 points: It’s fine not great not bad. Disappointed because it bears my name (1902 views)
Tasted by TampaMark on 8/15/2021 & rated 88 points: Easy drinker, a little sweet. Corvin one glass. Great with pizza. Not complex but does the trick. Enjoyable. (2420 views)
Tasted by gamlingman on 5/20/2021 & rated 87 points: I like it but I think their growth in production has effected their quality. This was certainly better than the newer 2018 vintage that was recently reviewed but nothing to ring the bell over. Nice bright front forward fruit with some Cherry & Berries. Finish was round and polished with very little tannins. Enjoyable bottle but in the $25.00 range there are much better. (2179 views)
Tasted by gogiants925 on 12/18/2020 & rated 86 points: Pretty decent Paso cab for the price. A little bit too much on the sweet side for me, but the base of the cab profile was there. The finish was shorter than most cabs. (2697 views)
 Tasted by linkswinelover6549 on 11/13/2020 & rated 90 points: Delicious (2776 views)
Tasted by VinoViking on 9/26/2020 & rated 85 points: A very good every day wine. Strong QPR. Medium body with dark heavy fruit. Just a hint of soil, pencil led. Just a bit tight - but still eminently drinkable. (2766 views)
Tasted by PaulWilson00 on 6/25/2020 & rated 90 points: Fantastic! Smooth and creamy and complex. (2913 views)
Tasted by sonodoc on 6/14/2020 & rated 90 points: Pretty decent Cali Cab for the price. Medium body, smooth, some red fruit with nice oak. (2667 views)
Tasted by AaronMaxwell on 5/12/2020 & rated 89 points: Solid CA Cab. Bold and juicy. Not terribly complex. (2868 views)
Tasted by Horology411 on 4/12/2020 & rated 91 points: Far better than the first bottle two years ago. Age has done exactly what it should for this wine. Fruit intensity has settled nicely to component the wood / tobacco / cola low notes. Tannins are completely tame, and no alcohol fire. Medium body wine despite the flavor profile, exceptionally easy to drink and easy to appreciate. A good wine to train on. (2518 views)
Tasted by Winegardengirl on 3/20/2020 & rated 89 points: Beautiful dark color, well balanced. Better on day two. (2353 views)
Tasted by daver852 on 2/12/2020 & rated 90 points: Medium to dark color, pleasant nose, nicely balanced. Smooth finish. Very classy wine, easy drinking. Only just a bit lacking in depth, but very nice, nevertheless. (2164 views)
Tasted by justcruisin on 11/22/2019 & rated 89 points: Great table cab for all occasions, consistent and everybody enjoys. (3186 views)
Tasted by WaitForIt on 11/5/2019: Solid daily drinker. Might be even better with some age (2939 views)
Tasted by jmull on 10/24/2019 & rated 88 points: Popped and poured. Lots of evident wood, but some nice fruit on a middleweight frame. Varietal markers are here. Nit special but solid enough. (2737 views)
Tasted by Harley1199 on 10/22/2019: By the glass. Prevalence of plum, roasted coffee and black berries. On the palate it is tannic, dense and sparingly acidic. Overwhelmed by the sensation of smelling a plank soaked in wine and not a wine wrapped in wood. Things of the elaboration and selection of fruit.
For half the price, quite similar to that they called reserve. Hence this is up to you.

(2750 views)
Tasted by Debogburn on 10/3/2019: Good (2654 views)
Tasted by Clark W Griswold on 8/30/2019 & rated 88 points: Pnp. Not the most complex wine but pretty good bang for your buck. (2241 views)

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is probably the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It is rivaled in this regard only by its Bordeaux stablemate Merlot, and its opposite number in Burgundy, Pinot Noir. From its origins in Bordeaux, Cabernet has successfully spread to almost every winegrowing country in the world. It is now the key grape variety in many first-rate New World wine regions, most notably Napa Valley, Coonawarra and Maipo Valley. Wherever they come from, Cabernet Sauvignon wines always seem to demonstrate a handful of common character traits: deep color, good tannin structure, moderate acidity and aromas of blackcurrant, tomato leaf, dark spices and cedarwood.

Used as frequently in blends as in varietal wines, Cabernet Sauvignon has a large number of common blending partners. Apart from the obvious Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the most prevalent of these are Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere (the ingredients of a classic Bordeaux Blend), Shiraz (in Australia's favorite blend) and in Spain and South America, a Cabernet – Tempranillo blend is now commonplace. Even the bold Tannat-based wines of Madiran are now generally softened with Cabernet Sauvignon

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
