It is savoury in the mouth, with pure fruit flavours and a finish that has some tart fruit freshness. (1265 views) | | Tasted by Vas19 on 1/11/2021 & rated 91 points: A really nice wine that just finishes a bit tannic and tight right now. Less overtly fruity than the dolcetto, which I like. (1100 views) | | Tasted by Jeremy Holmes on 9/14/2020: Smells like a strawberry patch with notes of red fruit, plant matter and black earth. The palate is savoury with some underlying meatiness. There's a fresh line of minerally acidity and it is mid-weight, engaging and satisfying. 89+ (1313 views) | | Tasted by MAOC on 6/21/2020: Consistent with previous bottle ***+ (640 views) | | Tasted by MAOC on 5/5/2020: Slightly candied cherry, floral hints, earth, that bark edge I associate with Freisa. Really lovely now, with a juicy core to the fruit ***1/2 (656 views) | | Tasted by cct on 4/6/2020 & rated 90 points: Riper than usual nose with dark cherry, plum, tar, violets, iodine, and again some leather subtle pretty notes that I think add to the whole. It's ripe on the nose, but in very good balance. Mid plus bodied with a nice mix of savory and soil driven notes, coming across richer than normal for Rinaldi's Freisa, but still with excellent tension. Tar, earth, dark berry fruits, some saddle leather, earth, and more violets on the palate. Finishes with some rustic tannins on back end. Outstanding and drinking well already. (966 views) |

GIUSEPPE RINALDI
A family-run production company, it exclusively produces grapes produced from its own vineyards. At the beginning of the 19th century, Battista Rinaldi was a cultivator of some vineyards of the Feudo of the Marquises Falletti di Barolo. Later he became a farmer owner and, initially, a seller of the grapes produced. Later, with his sons, he became a winemaker and bottler. The same company tradition, of character and craft dimensions, today continues with Giuseppe Rinaldi and the fifth and sixth generation daughters. The company produces Barolo for about 60% (Brunate vineyards, Le Coste, Cannubi-San Lorenzo, Ravera) and for the rest, Piedmontese wines such as Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Nebbiolo and Freisa delle Langhe, Ruchè.Italy Italian Wines (ItalianMade.com, The Italian Trade Commission) | Italian Wine Guide on the WineDoctorPiedmont Vignaioli Piemontesi (Italian only) On weinlagen-infoLanghe Consorzio di Tutela Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe e Roero | Union of Producers of Albese Wines (Albeisa)Langhe DOC Union of Producers of Albese Wines (Albeisa) |
