Had against its big Ornellaia brother and this held very well. Cassis, black currants and other dark fruits along with leather, cedar and toast. There is a hint of overripe fruits which announces we are at the other side of the curve. This is drinking well, and it is time to drink it.

Ruby. Nose started with wood, burnt popcorn, sulfur; but opened up with nice fruits and earth. Sharply acidic, slightly sweet (~2 g/L RS), smooth tannins, alcohol seemed high. Produced primarily from the younger vineyards, the wine combines the pedigree of the flagship wine with freshness, accessibility and softness together with a structure, balance and intensity typical of the great terroir of the Estate.
Red Bordeaux BlendRed Bordeaux is generally made from a blend of grapes. Permitted grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and rarely Carménère.Today Carménère is rarely used, with Château Clerc Milon, a fifth growth Bordeaux, being one of the few to still retain Carménère vines. As of July 2019, Bordeaux wineries authorized the use of four new red grapes to combat temperature increases in Bordeaux.
