4 jours plus tard, le fond de la bouteille est magnifique. Le vin s'est épanoui et n'a pas du tout pris l'oxydation. Il présente une interminable finale sur le poivre, les épices et les fruits rouges.
Du grand art pour un Côtes-du-Rhône.

More of the raspberries strawberries brambly side of the domaine, playful and fun while still being a benchmark for quality with a natural backbone that will make this stand for many years without any problem no doubt. | | Tasted by Gargantua on 5/3/2015: Somewhat simple as to be expected, no it's not fair to expect a baby Côte Rôtie. These vines sit across the road from Côte Rôtie. Pomegranate molasses/thick red raspberry fruit, but sufficiently lifted and bright such that it is refreshing. Nose brings to mind Faury Syrah but it's smoother and less feral, feels stemmy but polished; obviously not the elegance of a Côte Rôtie but managed an elegant balance nonetheless. At 16€, back up the truck. Roses come to mind with air, and it seems to gain conviction, even alluding to the tiniest meatiness. Yum. (2122 views) |

Only problem, you usually get this level of CDR for half the $35 I paid, or less. I love Jamets Cote Roties but this isn't declassified Jamet Cote Rotie. And I doubt they claim it is. I was just hoping it might be. As other's have noted it has a nice little spicy peppery nose, some tar and meat on the palate and savory flavors on a traditionally styled frame. 12.5% Alc. I really like this wine but with the Jamet name on the label, its overpriced. Saw it and had to have one to try. Now I know. Paid $35 drinks like $15-$20 tops. (2363 views) |
