Tasted by andrei trolldeig on 5/10/2024 & rated 93 points: The full package
Drank most on day two. Last sip day four.
Great concentration, big yellow fruit, mango and all the limes (lemongrass, kefirlime, as I called asian spices last note). Persistent acidity. No petroleum to speak of this time. More details in last note. (280 views)
Tasted by Bathtub58 on 12/22/2023 & rated 93 points: Decanted. Consumed over two hours. Powerful aromas of petrol, which toned down by hour two and began to show some citrus. Similar moderate+ concentrated flavors, with fresh and concentrated citrus elements (primarily lemon) that began to show after two hours in the decanter. No rush. Clearly upside over the mid term+. This showed more freshness than the last bottle, both of which were from the same case. 93+ (578 views)
Tasted by Bathtub58 on 11/19/2023 & rated 92 points: A bit sappy to start. A decant help to balance this out. Petrol and orchard fruits. Some freshness, but on the riper end of the spectrum. (658 views)
Tasted by Aravind Asok on 8/26/2023: Wow. Stunning. On the nose: dense lemon, lemon oil and soft peach, a hint of tropical. On the palate: slate and grapefruit in spades over more citrus and a touch of spice. Dense, fantastic acid and a long finish. Not really like other GG wines I have had before. (801 views)
Tasted by andrei trolldeig on 2/13/2023: Pnp; first day open, second day more closed. Now third day, and similar as the first, but even more expressive, with its golden hue. Continuously golden on the nose with rich mango and tucked in camomile spice, some kefir lime. Good width on the palate, more spices, coriander seeds, lemon grass. Persistent acidity, good length.
My first PJ Kühn. Great balance between warm richness and acidic backbone. (975 views)
 Tasted by Bathtub58 on 12/26/2021 & rated 92 points: Delayed entry. 92-93+. (1577 views)
Tasted by tedcholl on 12/1/2021 & rated 90 points: Dry, Rheingau Riesling. Citrus, green apple, some petrol, and tropical fruits. Been a while since my last Riesling and enjoyed it (1345 views)

#2014 Vintage Notes:
2014 Vintage Report by Terry Theise
2014 Vintage Report by Wine Spectator
"My gut still tells me the Saar (and to some extent) the Ruwer are better overall in 2014 than the more storied areas of the Mosel proper, but those that spent the requisite time living in their middle-Mosel vineyards made some of the most electric and "feathery" Riesling in a long time (maybe the finest in 20 years - yes, it's true!)" - Jon Rimmerman (Of course only a very short historical memory would call the Saar and Ruwer less 'storied' than the middle Mosel - jht)

Rheingau

VDP Rheingau (Official site) | The Rheingau (Wines of Germany) | Wikipedia about The Rheingau
On weinlagen.info

The small but fine wine-growing area Rheingau offers one for the culture of the vine ideal microclimate and best soil conditions. The Rhine runs uninterruptedly almost one thousand kilometres from Basel up to its muzzle into the North Sea, in a northerly direction. With a short exception - the Rheingau. The Rheingau mountains force the river to a change in direction here. The vineyards falling in this region to the south stretch really to the sun. The king of the white wines, the Riesling, finds ideal local conditions for the unfolding of his fine fruity and elegant type of vine character on the multilayered weathering grounds with loess, loam and sand additions.
