Tasted by Bruce 1er on 10/24/2021 & rated 94 points: Showing very well even at such a young age. Good structure, fruit and minerality. Very satisfying. (1067 views)
Tasted by rexmerlot on 5/29/2021 & rated 90 points: Great wine. Same as earlier note. Still drinking young. (1233 views)
Tasted by rexmerlot on 8/31/2019 & rated 90 points: Clear light straw yellow in color. Notes of citrus and apple on nose and palate. Dry, med body, med acidity. Great wine (2173 views)
Tasted by 87tellub on 6/2/2019 & rated 91 points: Pale shimmery gold. Smells like a boozy apple. Also white flowers, creamy lemon. Almost medium in body. Nice purity of fruit on this. Quite rich but within balance. Enjoyable. (1990 views)
Tasted by rob.boothe on 4/24/2019 & rated 91 points: Medium straw color. Nose is quite subtle when first opened - flinty with a hint of sharpness. After 20 minutes, opens up to pear, vanilla and brown butter. Not as much funk as expected - but in the mouth, very pleasing. Pleasantly oily, dry but with some depth, oak present but not overwhelming. Nice salinity. Some tannins present, but enough acid to be refreshing. Medium-long finish with just a touch of bitterness and heat at the end. Nice, and good value! (2240 views)
Tasted by Drakar on 3/31/2019 & rated 90 points: Minéral et frais!
Moyennement gras avec un fruit subtilement présent. Finale soutenue. (1528 views)
Tasted by tantotinto on 1/29/2019 & rated 88 points: Golden color. Pear, apple and spice. Medium weight. Crisp acidity on the finish. My wife wants more. She likes the balance... not too fat, not too lean. She would rate it higher. (1598 views)
Tasted by maxima on 12/8/2018 & rated 88 points: Bu en succ.
Assez gras et beurré, des notes d`amandes et de noix
avec des citrons et un peu de pommes.
Assez long...un peu mou à ce prix. (1648 views)
Tasted by Aleks Che on 11/25/2018 & rated 92 points: CHE92
Fresh, oily, with sunflower seeds and a bit mandarin bitterness at the end (1001 views)
Tasted by Kirk Grant on 9/26/2018: This is exactly as I'd expect the wine to be showing in it's youth. There's scents of Bartlett pears, yellow apples, with a whisper of nutmeg, vanilla, and spice that lingers in the nostrils. On the palate this medium bodied wine offers such notes of green bananas, kiwi, and poached yellow apple. While medium-full in body there's a delicacy and elegance that is framed well by the acidity and a lengthy finish. Outstanding! (1226 views)
Tasted by winemaker on 8/29/2018: Meh....Just ok. Kind of disappointing. (961 views)
Tasted by chatters on 5/22/2018: Negotiant Imported Wines (Marriot on Pitt Street, Sydney): Slightly meaty wild ferment over stone fruit and very slight lemon, a little butter and oak. On the palate it's tight but nice, juicy, needs time with some mid palate grip (1512 views)
Tasted by srh on 4/7/2018: Winebar [4 Whts, 8 Reds, + 1 Shared Bottle] from 4/6/18 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): N; CLOSED; Minerals?

P: Med, poss MF, body; RNDISH entry with nice, almost swtish oak/frt with smokey notes met by balancing acidity which pushes through into the LONG, tangy/swt finish. POSS still tight & needing into Fall '18, then drinking through '20. Otherwise my VG- & rather poor QPR @ this vendor's $34.95, which IS in ~ the top 10% of wine-searcher's current listings. 92 pts WS (500 cs imported to U.S.), 90 WA, 88-90 ea Burghound & Vinous (Tanzer), 89 winealign.com , and 15.5/20 Jancis Robinson. (1255 views)
Tasted by GonzaloManzaneda on 3/5/2018 & rated 86 points: Nariz mineral y ácida. Tal vez más rustico que el Meursault.
En general mucho menos interesante que el anterior.
Más vertical en boca, acidez menos agradable. (1068 views)
Tasted by srh on 3/3/2018: Winebar [4 Whites & 8 Reds] from 3/2/18 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): N: Closed; Minerals, vanilla, with notes of lemons

P: Med body; Very RNDISH entry with ALMOST swtish frt/oak met by tangy acidity which stays on top as it fairly seamlessly transitions into a LONG, ult tangy/swt (80:20) finish with occasional glimpses of honey. Still tight, DESERVES 'til '19, then drinking through '21. My VG/VG+; 92 pts WS (500 cs imported to U.S.), 90 WA, 88-90 ea Burghound & Vinous (Tanzer), 89 winealign.com , and 15.5/20 Jancis Robinson. [As of late Jan '20, wine-searcher still shows several sources from $37.23 - $40.30].

Addendum: Also tasted on 4/7/18 (443 views)
Tasted by KJD45$ on 12/1/2017 & rated 89 points: Pale golden hue....nose is clean fruit of pear Apple mineral...
Palate is fresh pear/lime/lemon curd with a noticeable acidity and minerality on the long lasting finish...gosh it's a good entry level Chablis...my opinion is tainted lower only because I had it with a 2012 les brûlés by same maker at a closeout price 1/3 cheaper... (1173 views)
Tasted by pdev on 10/12/2017 & rated 88 points: caramel, butterscotch, brown butter, brown sugar, pineapple. Palate is intense, zesty lemon lime. Very new world. Prefered the marie antoinette in this vintage especially considering the price. (1033 views)
Tasted by Derek Darth Taster on 9/27/2017 & rated 89 points: Tasted blind. Pop and poured. Drank over 2 hours. Wednesday wine night at Chateau Davyd.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, yellow lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of yellow flowers, stony minerality, citrus lemon, cream peach, nectarines. Developing.
on the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of salty saline, stony minerality, citrus lemon, ripe creamy peach, nectarine, slight nutty toast. Long finish.
Good quality. Creamy ripe fruit on the palate but yet still some spritzy feeling that results in an uneven texture at this stage. Maybe another 3 years of age will gel this together better.
A ripe Pouilly-Fuisse in an already rich and ripe vintage. (1056 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 5/11/2017 & rated 87 points: Bourgogne Chamber of Commerce Wine Tour (Cambria Hotel - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Also clearly on the riper side, but with good concentration and length. Best to enjoy young. (1619 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
