Tasted by aquacongas on 11/4/2017 & rated 94 points: B-W Kirchenstück 1999 einfach gigantisch frisch. So wenig Kirchenstück wie es nur geht. Zitrus ja, Nuß nein. Noch 10-15 Jahre trinkbar. 98. Da hatte Prager’s Klaus 2001 nix zu melden. Wirkte dagegen nahezu oxidiert. 94. Das einzige Mal einstimmiges Ergebnis. (1575 views)
Tasted by acyso on 9/14/2017 & rated 90 points: Prager Dinner with Robert Bodenstein (Chicago, IL): In theory, I should have liked this wine more than the Achleiten -- it's a bit more complex, showing some smokiness, and more minerality and salinity -- a chablisienne analogue, perhaps? But it ends up sliding a little more austere for my palate, even though it's incredibly easy to see the resemblance between the two wines. If you dig for it, you can find a bit of the sweet fruit that I loved so much in the Achleiten, but at the end of the day, I much preferred that wine for its more easy-going disposition. (2437 views)
Tasted by MJHDC on 3/7/2016: I loved the aromatics on this bottle: smoky and flinty, lots of floral, hints of secondary development. Very elegant, crisp and light on its feet. Ripe fruit, but for Wachau Smaragd a nicely restrained style. In a great place for me. (1948 views)
Tasted by drbarta on 1/2/2013 & rated 91 points: Prager Klaus-vertical (Szeged, Hungary (at the"club")): Complex, but developped nose. Dried citrus, dried plum, burnt sugar, herbs, tobacco. Medium body, mouth filling savours, though a little less intensive than the aboves. It also has good midpalate density, good structure, balance, but doesn’t offer as much focus, energy and length as the others in general in the row. It’s still an impressive wine particularly if we consider its age, just not incredible. 90-91 (2816 views)
Tasted by salil on 6/24/2012 & rated 91 points: Weekend drinks at my place (Vernon, CT): Very pleasant; rich citrus and stone fruit flavours tinged with more mature smoky and savoury notes, drinking nicely now with the fruit still fresh and vibrant but showing plenty of development. (2332 views)
Tasted by mdefreitas on 6/24/2012 & rated 93 points: Various Wines @ Salil's (Vernon, CT): Wow... a great way to start an evening. Loaded with crunchy, chalky, flinty minerals, just the way I like it. Some nice apple and pear fruit with a pleasingly bitter fruit skin note. Long, lingering and deep. Lovely stuff. (3229 views)
Tasted by indiscriminate palate on 6/23/2012: Long overdue short notes from Salil's (Vernon): Very dry, oily; mineral-driven, with a fruit-bitter finish. (1739 views)

Lower Austria isn't "southern" Austria, but rather northeastern. It derives its name from its downriver location on the Danube River, which flows from west to east.
