Tasted by peter.mancell@mfg.com.au on 1/13/2024 & rated 94 points: Excellent MV shiraz. Great fruit and palate texture. (114 views)
Tasted by jmcmchi on 4/24/2017 & rated 92 points: Assertive full-bodied style coming into maturity

Blackcurrant and savoury mint aromatics

Smooth long tannins provide a firm structure, spread wide under dark fruit and sage. Underlying acidity is plenty adequate to hold this for a while yet (1331 views)
Tasted by graemeg on 12/5/2016: NobleRottersSydney - Langtons Classification (360 Bar & Dining, Sydney): {screwcap, 14.5%} Slightly evolved in aroma (not the deep ruby/black colour!) but largely smelling of black-tinged spearmint and blackcurrant fruit. It’s full-bodied, richly-extracted, with all Clare’s super-ripe, verging on over-ripe dark brambly, liquorice-like shiraz on offer. Plenty of heat comes through too. Big impact on the mid-palate, medium acid, surprisingly soft dusty tannins. The finish is medium-length. There’s nothing really to complain about if you like the full-throttle style, and it’s no fruit-bomb caricature either. And yet, I still think it’s at best around a decade old; time to start opening these. (1870 views)

2008 Kilikanoon Shiraz Oracle

Winemaker's Note

Appearance: Intense, inky / crimson red with distinct youthful, purple hues.

Nose: Lifted sweet plum and berry fruits. Hints of coffee, chocolate and menthol integrate and complex well with the spicy French oak.

Palate: Palate is richly textured and flavoured, initial sweet plum and berry fruits integrated with the firm tannins and a smooth, alcohol finish. The palates natural acidity and subtle oak characters provide length, complexity and persistence.
