Tasted by mdvino63 on 4/2/2020 & rated 92 points: Wow! Fabulous. If it weren't a tad atypically rich for Chablis and a little less racy and mineral than I would like (which I noticed when paired with some delicious, briny oysters) this would score even higher. Drinking à point, I imagine. I really love this. (591 views)
91 pts (986 views)
Tasted by d'Artagnan on 6/2/2018 & rated 91 points: Trop bon! Acidité relativement basse, c’est savoureux et un peu botrytisé en finale. Gourmand et salin, superbe. 91 (1432 views)
Tasted by d'Artagnan on 1/2/2018 & rated 90 points: Nez sur les pommes. Très belle bouche, assez riche, avec finale minérale très agréable, d’une belle complexité. Délicieux. 90-91 pts (1430 views)
Tasted by StasMedvedev.lv on 10/30/2017 & rated 89 points: Intense yellow color. Opens with prominent apple aromas, chalky minerality. Citrus zest on the palate. Round, creamy on the palate, must be aging on lees, strong refreshing acidity.

This is a great example of the rule I apply to Burgundy - the winemaker over the terroir. Sometimes it is hard to believe. This small domain owns tiny parcel of 1er Cru and some village with no GC. They produce super Chablis with absolutely no oak that age beautiful even for village AOP. That's must try producer (1270 views)
Tasted by jimkay21 on 9/22/2016 & rated 90 points: Still fresh with a zing to the acidity, round palate with lemon curd and white fruit. (1778 views)
Tasted by ecola on 8/16/2015 & rated 91 points: Ripe green apple, baked pear, subtle caramel and vanilla. Softening acidity but still has a presence. Long and very dry finish. (1824 views)
Tasted by isbjoern on 7/5/2014 & rated 89 points: A delicious Chablis with the typical Chablis notes of brioche, nuts and yellow apples. Ripe acidity, good weight, also racy and mineral. Great now, and excellent value for Chablis. (1824 views)
Tasted by mwneil on 5/21/2014 & rated 91 points: This wine has come around. Drinking great , balanced with that extra one gets from an aged chardonnay. Not a classic Chablis but a very good wine. If I had more, I'd drink more. (1763 views)
Tasted by isbjoern on 7/15/2013 & rated 89 points: This is a gorgeous Chablis with excellent acidity and ripe apple fruit, some butter flavors, great minerality of chalky sea shells, no botrytis, fresh, creamy, with good length on the finish and not covered by layers of oak and vanilla. Classic Chablis. Even better than the 2008 and great value for Chablis. Good now. - 89 points (1989 views)
Tasted by ecola on 10/30/2012 & rated 92 points: Aromas of lemon, pear, and a little vanilla. Medium body on the palate with more lemon, pear, vanilla, and some green apple. The light touch of oak adds a slight creamy roundness to this. Wonderfully balanced acidity and minerality throughout. Very impressive wine that would make a great pairing with seared scallops. (1783 views)
Tasted by mwneil on 6/15/2012 & rated 88 points: Good basic Chablis, nice bouquet, a bit too much alcohol on the finish, enjoyed the wine in Anguilla. (1846 views)
Tasted by pete s. on 6/13/2012 & rated 88 points: Solid but not sure it's worth the extra dollars compared to straight '10 Picq Chablis. A very similar wine in characteristics and quality. (1431 views)
Tasted by Number51 on 5/1/2012 & rated 92 points: Given that I paid under $18, this wine is SO GOOD.
Pretty tropical fruit. Really well balanced. Everything is in right place. (1420 views)
Tasted by BurgAndy on 4/29/2012: Real nice for its level. Concentrated flavors of ripe pears, a hint of butterscotch, a touch of wood, and a whiff of stone and rock. Generous midpalate with a long-lasting dense finish. Tasted along side the straight 2010 Picq Chablis -- the old vines Chablis really blew it away with its sheer depth, concentration and raw material. For a few more bucks, the VV in 2010 is a better choice. (1287 views)
Tasted by Julius Squeezer on 4/17/2012 & rated 91 points: Such a round Chablis. Lemon, honeydew, chalk, and lime zest on the nose that is a bit creamy. Again, very round and supple on the attack and midpalate. Pronounced acidity and minerality on the finish but as a whole, rich, ripe, round. Interesting and probably the best inexpensive Chablis I have ever had. (1192 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio

Chablis

Chablis (Fédération de Défense de l'Appellation Chablis) | Chablis (Burgundy Wines)

2014 Vintage Notes:
"... a hybrid of 2004/2007 and 2010. The stone, citrus and limestone amalgam is exactly what we search for in Chablis as the style harkens to a day in the Cote de Beaune proper (1960's - 1980's) when wine was not meant to be consumed the week it was released, battonage was not used by all and new oak was rarely seen ... the texture is natural and 'of the vintage' not 'of the winemaker' .... Like Sancerre or the Loire in general, 2014 in Chablis is one of those rare years with extract and transparency. It appears to be a vintage for the "neoclassic" ages and those of us intent on cellaring the most terroir-driven (but still powerful) examples of vineyard, site-place and varietal will want to invest (heavily) in the magnetic and electric 2014's." - Jon Rimmerman

2018 Vintage Notes:
"There’s not that razor sharp Chablis acidity in 2018,” says Patrick Piuze. “But there is good definition of place. The dry conditions drove vines to drink deeper down in the soil profile."
