The wine is now 13 years old and what a treat. Deep ruby. Raspberry, cherry, and vanilla on the nose. Moderate to full bodied. Smooth and velvety. Cherry, raspberry and spice on the palate. But the reason this one stands apart is its heritage of long standing quality. The wine is rich with a very soft mouthfeel and tannic, capable of some additional aging but I'm not sure it will really benefit this particular wine. I think it is drinking well and a great zin for better than every day drinking and a wine almost anyone will enjoy.
