Tasted by SLB83 on 12/25/2023 & rated 90 points: Very nice, but nothing special. No benefit to keeping this much longer. If anything, I would drink up. (314 views)
(1838 views)
Tasted by Mario17 on 2/2/2021 & rated 91 points: Elegant et assez frais, fruit et texture encore riche. 90-91 (2443 views)
Tasted by pdadams66 on 12/19/2020 & rated 91 points: Deep dark center, red/purple rim with some signs of age.
Intense nose of bilberries and cracked rocks, quite youthful, black pepper.
Rich and direct in the mouth, atypical blue/black fruit (blueberries?), a little smokey, milk chocolate, peppery, dusty, good tannin and acid still, great length.
Very different bottle from the other 3. Great fruit, depth and length. Drinking well now. (2076 views)
Tasted by pdadams66 on 10/18/2020 & rated 88 points: Deep red center, red rim with signs of age.
Sweet, cherry jam, alcohol, a little spicy, touch of green.
Smooth then sweet, lighter red fruits, almonds, okay acidity, alcohol a little prominent, mature, leafy, nutty, good length.
Surprisingly good mature port. A little hot on the finish. Two sets of bottles in the cellar (Rhode Island and Premier Cru), the latter is doing better I think. Drink now. (2230 views)
Tasted by pdadams66 on 3/12/2020 & rated 87 points: Deep red center, red rim with signs of age.
creamy nose with licorice, touch herbal, cherries.
Smooth, alcohol, cherry liquor, green pepper, smooth finish.
Better than previous bottles. (2507 views)
Tasted by Nanda on 6/8/2019 & rated 88 points: 8th Annual QoA Fundraising Dinner (Chez Nanda): Solid but not exciting. (2378 views)
Tasted by pdadams66 on 1/2/2019 & rated 88 points: Drinking well now. Not as good at the 94 tasted recently. As mature, less focus. (1639 views)
Tasted by david4061 on 11/22/2014 & rated 89 points: Smokey, silky, nice tannins. Licorice. Drinking well now but will probably improve with some more time. (5271 views)
Tasted by rfras on 12/28/2013 & rated 90 points: Still needs time. (5515 views)
Tasted by bruinsunited on 12/14/2013 & rated 90 points: Opened too early. Needs more time or long decant. Great potential. (5300 views)
Tasted by 3daywinereview.com on 3/5/2011 & rated 85 points: Wood, raspberry and minerals. Of course some sweetness but there was a bit too much wood for my taste. Drinkable (7992 views)
Tasted by ksigerman on 11/13/2010 & rated 90 points: Relatively young. I would expect this to soften over the next few years without losing quality, though not necessarily gaining quality either. Lighter bodied than some others, but quite intense, with the caramel/raison flavors balanced by a good deal of more vibrant fruit. Fairly well-balanced. (8036 views)
Tasted by jmht on 8/30/2008 & rated 87 points: Consumed over 3 nights-- still quite young. Dark, concentrated plum, spice, and heat. By the 3rd night, almost in balance. (5253 views)
Tasted by VinVinoWine on 1/31/2008 & rated 100 points: I just remember that it initial tasting experience and most excellent... (6841 views)
Tasted by BrewWench on 1/8/2008 & rated 84 points: Nice port for the price. (4959 views)
Tasted by Tintin on 10/30/2007 & rated 90 points: A lighter, perhaps more feminine style of port than some, but rich in flavor and quite delicious. (4355 views)
Tasted by Eric on 2/9/2003 & rated 88 points: Seattle Tasting Group does Syrah & Shiraz (Seattle, WA, USA): Fresh, herbal and clearly more fruity than the prior wine. Not as nice to my palate. (7664 views)

Port Blend

Over a hundred varieties of grapes (castas) are sanctioned for port production, although only five (Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo), Touriga Francesa, and Touriga Nacional) are widely cultivated and used.
