Tasted by drcookie on 1/2/2014 & rated 83 points: Very light with almost a cotton candy/carmel corn finish. Drank slightly chilled. Nice way to start off the night. (1423 views)
Tasted by walkerjfw on 9/14/2013 flawed bottle: corked (1292 views)
Tasted by walkerjfw on 8/23/2013 & rated 93 points: Consistent with prior notes, each bottle may be getting better. One thing I noticed on this bottle was the strawberry/citrus was more pronounced mid palate. drank slightly closer to room temperature.

Summer is fading, time to finish up the great roses of the year... (1257 views)
Tasted by walkerjfw on 6/20/2013: at Meredith's graduation party, drank next to a great Provencal rose - Mas de Cadenet. Consistent with prior notes. Was fun to compare California fruit, made by a French winemaker, with Provencal rose

Consistent with prior note, Calif much more fruit forward. Crowd was split on which one they liked more - both were great (1293 views)
Tasted by walkerjfw on 6/8/2013 & rated 93 points: Consistent with prior notes. Drank this bottle slightly less chilled, seemed to have more pronounced fruit mid palate (584 views)
Tasted by walkerjfw on 5/24/2013 & rated 92 points: Great wine to bring in the Summer...with the family in Ocean City for Memorial Day. Met Julien Fayard on a PNV Auction trip a couple years ago when he was working with Phillipe Melka. Great guy from Provence making great wine in California.

The style is to make a Provençal style Rose with Cal. fruit. Medium to light coloring - coral/cantaloupe color. Palate is light/bright red fruit, strawberry, pomegranate, quince. Really crisp finish, good minerality. (409 views)

Rosé Blend

"Rosé blend" can mean a blend of just about any varietals since the designation comes from the resulting color of the wine.

Rosé

Rosé - Wikipedia

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
