| Community Tasting Notes (average 89.5 pts. and median of 90 pts. in 7 notes) - hiding notes with no text | | Tasted by richard.presser on 3/10/2024 & rated 90 points: Lime notes with bottle devt complexity. Ditto palate with Alsatian stony structure. Medium weight and length. Drinking beautifully and should comfortably hold this over the next 3+ years. Alsace IMO makes the most food worthy Rieslings. (100 views) | | Tasted by richard.presser on 2/22/2020 & rated 90 points: Has developed a sweet nose. Had I not previously tried it, I would have said it has a touch of residual sugar!!! Again, surprisingly sweet palate development, with still the excellent acid cut. Acid will carry it a long way. Where will the flavours go? I expect richness but not this sweetness as Alsatian Riesling ages. A good food wine. 25/2 Flavours have blended and unified. No sign of fraying. Very good structure. (293 views) | | Tasted by chatters on 2/22/2018: Acid haus (Stanley Street Gallery, Sydney): Muted lime and apple, slight crushed rock. Dry, rich, juicy and spiced on the palate with a very slight reductive note. (766 views) | | Tasted by chatters on 2/9/2018: Rizza and Bangers (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Slight lime, sulphur, earthy citrus, juicy, slight lime, very citric in fact. Perhaps a little short. (712 views) | | Tasted by richard.presser on 2/3/2018 & rated 90 points: Very long and fine. Underdeveloped. Should age well. Needs 5 years. Did not taste blind
A: Pale lemon green N: Medium (+) int. unripe peach and apple and a weird herbal medicinal aroma ( instru did not get herbal medicinal aroma but found strong smell of white flowers). All primaries and so youthful. P: Dry, high acid, medium alcohol (12.5%) medium (-) body (instru. says medium), medium + intensity and finish (again, i think these two were more like medium for me). same flavors as aromas on nose but wet stone a bit more apparent. Instru, says length and intensity is good and therefore this is a Good to Very Good Quality(the latter if you think it balanced. Drink now don't age. $23 a bottle. (730 views) |
