A substantial white wine. Citrus, lemon mousse, toasted almonds, green apples, with good minerality and acidity. Well structured and distinct. Drinking well now, but perhaps can improve further. (233 views) | | Tasted by isaacjamesbaker on 7/17/2020 & rated 94 points: Social distancing blind tasting: I am obsessed with these wines, and this one showed wonderfully. Deep yellow color. Crunchy aromas of candied orange peel, yellow and green apples, with lemon crème, sea salt, some olive oil and raw almond notes. The palate is rushing and exciting with a mountain stream and cold ocean wave aesthetic. Lemon peel, orange, key lime, kumquat fruit (gorgeous fresh, crunchy fruit). Complex notes of chalk, mineral, quinine, limestone - just all sorts of amazing depth here. Blind, my friends were wondering Muscadet, natty Pacific Northwest, Chablis, Alpine wines. It got even better the next day and really does well in a decanter. This deserves age and my respect.
