Compared to my last bottle 2 years ago, the fruit has receded and not much has come to take its place, so that gives the structure a bit less balance. Drinkable, pairs well with food, but not one to search out. I will drink my last within the next 1-2 years. 88

Update: 1 hour air. Showing a bit more character on the nose and palate, slight minerality, slight smokiness. Very nice. Bumping up to 91-92; still has years. Note that some producers in the Northern Rhone distinguish between simply Syrah and "Serine", the latter described as ‘an ancient clone of Syrah, the berries of which are more oval-shaped and less deeply pigmented than Syrah’ by producer Tardieu-Laurent.
