Tasted by dgcaldwell on 4/10/2024 & rated 92 points: Love this wine. Very silky finish. (280 views)
Tasted by Brad T on 11/11/2023 & rated 93 points: Starts off with the typical swoooosh of big aromas that you get from Turley Zinfandels, and really delivers on the palate, with big red and black fruit that leans to tart cherry and ripe red plum. The old leather and flowerpot earth notes begin to show with a few hours of air, and cocoa nibs emerge on the lovely finish. (572 views)
Tasted by Central Coast Sharon on 9/1/2023: Garnet, almost purple in the glass. Tart berry jam with baking spices on the nose. Rich palate of bright berries offset by a tartness like crushed freeze dried berries. Sticks to the palate with lingering flavors. (546 views)
Tasted by rbfleming on 3/3/2022 & rated 89 points: Perfectly pleasant but not as fantastic as the Sadie Upton (tasted at the same time) (1983 views)
Tasted by cdebeau on 12/29/2021 & rated 92 points: Bright red fruit, smooth, long finish, medium body (1982 views)
Tasted by bularry on 12/15/2021: lovely zin, a lot of character in this wine. definitely lighter in body than many zins, with a clear and bright cherry flavor upfront. some slight nuanced earthiness underneath. good finish. carries the alcohol well. (1899 views)
Tasted by mark.gularte@gmail.com on 11/24/2021 & rated 89 points: Light and restrained, dark fruits, with tobacco notes, raspberry, cherry, soft and smooth, a touch sweet. (1819 views)
Tasted by boozebythecreek on 11/18/2021: No detailed notes. Enjoyable but I wouldn’t seek this out again. (2023 views)
Tasted by bwillia on 10/27/2021 & rated 88 points: Heavily extracted on the nose and palate. Somewhat sweet on the attack. Long plum like finish. (1231 views)
Tasted by cos65 on 7/5/2021 & rated 91 points: sb
Ripe spicy and delicious, quite full of fruit, but seems to need to settle down a bit more.
I’d consider holding for a year (1418 views)
Tasted by EMichels on 6/28/2021 & rated 89 points: Bright entry but deeper and fuller than the Pesenti (842 views)
Tasted by cultdrinker on 6/6/2021 & rated 89 points: This cuvee was missing a taste or two and was somewhat harsh coming out of the bottle. Parker gave it a 94 so I would like to think it may have just been my bottle. I have historically given this wine some nice scores but had the exceptionally disappointing bottle here or there. I have two more bottles in my cellar and will report back later to see if that is the case (pun intended). (1439 views)
Tasted by mayakacz on 5/28/2021: Black cherry, blackberry, plum. Low tannin but more than some of the other Turley zins. (1263 views)
Tasted by KaupCava on 5/28/2021 & rated 92 points: Berry, warm cinnamon and vanilla nose
Dark berry fruit, faint menthol, viscous tar on the palate
Great fruit acid balance
Lingering finish (1307 views)
Tasted by DarrylD on 5/19/2021 & rated 88 points: Nose: cherry candied apple, rose lavender
Taste: cherry, cranberry, arugula, fennel root
Strong sweet tart fruit forward midway through herbs and spice on upper palette with sweet fruit coating cheeks, fairly viscous syrupy finish with light oak light tannins
Likely would mellow with aging. (1317 views)
Tasted by Mike Dildine on 4/2/2021 & rated 92 points: 15.7% abv. A really nice CoCo Zin. Great now and over the next 4-8 years. (1542 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
