Tasted by Get Real on 1/24/2020 & rated 93 points: Superb (1735 views)
Tasted by NickBurwood on 10/10/2019 & rated 91 points: Fully mature.
Smokey and elegant with age. Dark berries and dry spice wrapped in dusty tannins. Charred oak nuances. Medium weight. A favourite old uncle of a wine! Still excellent but in danger of fading away.
Needs drinking up soon. One more to go. (1622 views)
Tasted by SMHalps on 1/12/2019 & rated 93 points: My final bottle, out of 9 that I purchased at auction. I wanted to save this a little longer, but in the end, I enjoyed every bottle. It still had gobs of fruit left and a big glycerin loaded mouth feel. (1911 views)
Tasted by SMHalps on 9/29/2017 & rated 93 points: My second bottle in 2 nights. I really enjoyed it. Opened but not decanted for about 45 minutes at a NYC steakhouse. A blend of (according to WA) 60% Garnacha and 40% Cabernet, Syrah, and Merlot aged in 100% new oak. I had this with my wine group. Half of us loved it, the other half thought it was "nice, but nothing special", but since this is my notes, I give it my grade, and that is 93. (2902 views)
Tasted by SMHalps on 9/28/2017 & rated 93 points: Brought this to a gathering of my wine group. It was a BIG hit. Everyone loved it. It disappeared fast, so no idea how it would be with an hour or so of air. (2563 views)
Tasted by Russocaster on 7/30/2017 & rated 92 points: Espectacular trabajo sobre garnacha. Profundo, opaco rojo violeta.
Tasted by Zweder on 9/20/2016 & rated 92 points: Monthly Tuesday group The Dead Sparrow #011: Priorat (By PS): In the bouquet sweet spices like cinnamon, herbs and brown spiced biscuit. On the palate chocolate, sweet spices, cinnamon, good acidity, sweet licorice, mild tannin and a good length. (2832 views)
Tasted by BuzzzzOff on 5/12/2016 & rated 91 points: We have tried at least one bottle every year now for the last 3 years. Evolution in Motion...poetry. Dark, ruby red on the eye. It is now a shade darker from last year, which is interesting, albeit we are awaiting some rim or a more brownish red in the next year or so. Intense sweet blend of berries, some liquorice and leather on the nose. She took nearly 3 hours breathing in the bottle before unveiling some of her true beauty...tease! Quite the appealing bouquet. Strong berries, spices and a certain warmth on the palate with full-mouthed tannins. We still think a barely legal Priorat damsel not in distress but seeking her prince in the not too distant future. We intend to be there dressed for the debutante that we know will blossom! (2810 views)
Tasted by NickBurwood on 12/13/2015 & rated 91 points: A couple of years has transformed this already good wine. Now à point with a plateau of perhaps another couple of years or so.
Focussed sweet and sour blackcurrant/dark berry fruit, liquorice and spice and integrated warm dusty tannins. Full and long long.
Needs the three hour decant I gave it to show at its best.
Excellent - 91+ (2141 views)
Tasted by BuzzzzOff on 7/18/2015 & rated 90 points: A wonderful way to end the evening despite our friends chucking it down like grape juice :-( We sipped a bottle last year and decided too young. We still think a barely legal Priorat damsel not in distress but seeking her prince in the not too distant future. We intend to be there dressed for the debutante that we know will blossom! (3101 views)
Tasted by Monsieur le Comte on 4/9/2013 & rated 91 points: really disappointing!
not compareable with Clos Mogador!

too fruit forward, not very complex...but of course it will gain it with time
more red fruits, dark cherry than deep plum and blackberry
I've had better priorats for half the price
what a shame (4410 views)
Tasted by NickBurwood on 2/11/2013 & rated 90 points: Decanted for an hour.
Garnet hue.
Nose of red soft fruit preserve carried forward into ripe but elegant red berry fruit flavours with merest hint of toast, liquorice and über smooth integrated tannins. Sophisticated, racy, medium bodied and at plateau now and for probably 2+ years.
Moorish. (3302 views)
Tasted by kungfubaby on 9/30/2012 & rated 91 points: Good, fresh, youthful juice. Grenache based, modern, smooth. (3971 views)
Tasted by Matt Scott on 3/24/2012 & rated 93 points: Decanted for an hour. Rich-styled garnet, with a violet overtone, leading to a crimson rim. Flower shop, dark cherry, blackberry, cedar, ginger and river stones. Very stylish on the silky-framed palate with tannins that are meek, yet, still there. So soft, this is not unctuous, showing more class than anything else. There's no need to wait and definitely worthy next to Heitz Martha's or even Don Melchor; excellent for the vintage. Drink now - 2019. (3924 views)
Tasted by Yiannis on 2/11/2012 flawed bottle: Slightly corked. Barely drinkable. (2155 views)
Tasted by Stefanos T. on 2/11/2012 flawed bottle: Unfortunately it was corked. New oak was evident and there was enough fruit to support it. Body was surprisingly for me just medium to full and tannic and acid structure promise a long aging. Fruit aromas were surely subdued by cork but it still was evident that this is a great hedonistic wine. (3467 views)
Tasted by Periko on 10/13/2011 & rated 89 points: Alvaro Palacios' Finca Dofi: 2000-2007: Opened for 2 hours. Medium to dark rubi color. Licorice fruit on nose, smooth and elegant. Medium bodied on palate, smooth, fresh, medium fruity, shows more ready than 06. Long finish. (89-90) (3109 views)
Tasted by jsebiri on 8/4/2011: delicious , great nose and body fruit everywhere (2225 views)

Vinos de España - Wines of Spain (Instituto Español de Comercio Exterior) | Wikipedia
Wine Map on weinlagen-info

Spain is the third largest wine producing nation in the world, occupying the majority of the Iberian Peninsula with vast diversity in climate, culture, and of course, wine. From inky, dark reds of the [Priorat] to dry, white Finos from Andalusia, Spain can easily boast of elaborating a wide variety of notable styles. Within Spain there are currently 62 demarcated wine regions, of which a handful have gained international recognition: [Rioja], Priorat and [Ribera del Duero]. Yet these regions are only a small sample of the high quality wines Spain produces. Regions such as Cava, Penedes, Somontano, Galicia, Rueda and Jerez are only a few of the numerous regions worthy of exploration throughout Spain. Spain can also lay claim to having the most land under vine in the world, growing up to, by some accounts, 600 indigenous varietals of which Tempranillo is their most well known. Other popular varietals include [Garnacha], Bobal and Monastrell for reds and for whites; the infamous [sic] Palomino Fino grape which is used in the production of sherry wine, Pedro Ximenez in Montilla Morilles, Albarino used in the creation of the bright, effervescent wines of Galicia, and Verdejo in Rueda. - Source: - Catavino.net

Spain is not in the forefront of winemaking for its dessert wines, other than for its sweet wines from Sherry country including the highly revered Olorosos (when sweetened). But apart from Sherry Spain has a range of styles of dessert wines, ranging from the those made from the Pedro Ximenez grape primarily in Jerez and Montilla-Moriles) to luscious, red dessert wines made in the Mediterranean from the Garnacha (Grenache) grape. Some good Moscatels are made in Mallorca, Alicante and Navarre. The northwest corner of Spain, Galicia, with its bitter Atlantic climate, is even making dessert wines, called “Tostadillos” in the village of Ribadivia (similar to France’s “Vin de Paille”). The Canary Islands have made interesting dessert wines for centuries (they are mentioned by Shakespeare, for example) and in recent years the quality of winemaking has been improved and the Canary Islands wines are being better marketed now. The winemaking styles for “Vinos Dulces” are also diverse, from “Late Harvest” (Vendimia Tardía) to “Fortified Wines” (Fermentación Parcial). Based on in-spain.info.
