Tasted by wystiria on 11/14/2010 & rated 85 points: easy drinking riesling, had it a touch cold, soft aromas of melon and apple. I think this bottle is at its peak or just past. very soft in the mouth, a touch sweet but not in a bad way. went well with the pumpkin/apple soup and port tenderloin. I wouldn't wait to drink this wine (1205 views)
Tasted by gripNsip on 2/17/2010 & rated 87 points: Delicious, having a heard time on the notes from memory at present but this was a nice, clean Riesling. Something was odd about the finish, maybe a hint of booze, but the entire experience here was very nice. (1318 views)
Tasted by tonythib on 12/11/2009 & rated 89 points: This is a very nice Riesling from the finger lakes. Floral nose, with citrus flavors and a nice acidic and long last finish. Could cellar a few more years. (1440 views)
Tasted by wystiria on 10/24/2009 & rated 85 points: Great nose, smooth floral notes, mineral finish. Enjoyed this as it warmed up, was able to discern melon and mango, a touch of honey. Paired with mild caurry apple chicken and it was perfect. (1407 views)
Tasted by QwertyMIDX on 6/13/2009: Very pale in color. On the nose very similar to a mosel riesling. Lots of white peaches/nectarines with a faint hint of rubber. On the palette the wine is rounder than one would expect from the nose with a rather creamy texture mid-palette and a hint of what tastes like residual sugar on the leading edge. Still stone fruit but with a melon/mango note and a hint of rubber followed by a wave of chalk and flint on the (quite long) finish. At first I thought it needed more acid to really shine, but as it opened up the acid really came out and it started drinking better and more balanced. (1547 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.
