Tasted by RKatzDO on 9/30/2021: Very off bottle. Not corked, just spoiled. (436 views)
Tasted by theportguy on 9/30/2021 & rated 89 points: 2021 FTLOP Harvest Tour; 9/19/2021-10/2/2021 (Portgugal): Bottled in 1981. Brown-yellow in color. Nose of light caramel and honey. There is some bright acidity on the palate with some dusty tannins that appear mid-palate and linger on into the long finish. There is something about the balance on the palate that makes this Port feel a little disjointed. (420 views)
Tasted by petitblanc on 4/25/2009 & rated 93 points: A bit cloudy, with color and nose of simple buttery caramel. Awesome caramel and caramelized onion on the palate, with some nuttiness and plenty of warmth. A fine tawny for lazy sipping, nicely balanced and not cloying. No hurry, but no harm in drinking these relatively soon. Bottled in 1999. (4633 views)

Port Blend

Over a hundred varieties of grapes (castas) are sanctioned for port production, although only five (Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo), Touriga Francesa, and Touriga Nacional) are widely cultivated and used.
- Mayson (1999), Port and the Douro, p. 93

Colheita

This colheita was aged in small oak barrels for three years in a warm corrugated steel-roofed warehouse to caramelize the sugars and to further concentrate its flavors through evaporation.
