Tasted by ggkemp on 5/14/2011 & rated 88 points: Perfect for a late afternoon quaff on the front porch in a great thunder storm... Crisp, minerally & tasty... (3623 views)
Tasted by Joshiemac on 10/23/2010: Consistent with previous notes but I have to admit, at the end of each summer I grow rather tired with this varietal. (4055 views)
| Tasted by overthetop on 9/24/2010 & rated 89 points: pleasant, citrusy, mildly grassy on 1st night, more grassy, herbal nose and palate on 3rd night. good match w/ tomatoes and goat cheese w/ lot of evoo and blk pepper. Almost sweet, according to a fellow taster, but to me it is slightly fruity, citrusy, right amout of balanced acidity to be food friendly and wallet friendly!
Pretty good value at the original $18-20 price range, but an amaxzing value at 6.99! (4177 views) |
Tasted by joraesque on 8/18/2010 & rated 86 points: Typical New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Very Good. Extraordinary QPR. 86+ (4254 views)
Tasted by chapinde on 7/14/2010 & rated 86 points: Bright, citrus, grass, mineral. Good to very good. (4423 views)
Tasted by gatame on 7/7/2010 & rated 83 points: Bright flavors of orange, lemon, lime, gooseberry, and grass. Palate-cleansing acidity, but it resulted in excessive tartness for my liking. While definitely recommendable at the price, I'm afraid I don't have the same enthusiasm as almost everyone else. (2607 views)

Tasted by arass on 6/4/2010 & rated 84 points: A decent clean drinking wine. a little to acidic, but not severely so. (2804 views)
Tasted by Snoman on 5/28/2010 & rated 91 points: Wow, what a QPR and what a great NZ SB! Tropics on the nose, clear and clean in the glass, with a whalloping palate bursting with green apple, white grapefruit and crisp acidity, all in excellent balance, that finishes long and refreshing. Still can't get over the pricepoint and quality relationship. This is a palate-cleansing, eye-opening wakeup call from the first glass, that when warming in the glass, softens and increases in richness. Terrific. (2987 views)
Tasted by ggkemp on 5/20/2010 & rated 87 points: Nice citrus nose, grapefruit on palate, light on finish. Not up to last season's NZ Kirkland or Kim Crawford... Still good QPR.. (2929 views)
Tasted by foobarski on 5/12/2010 & rated 89 points: Agree with everyone else ... great QPR. Looking forward to having more of this come summer. (3060 views)
Tasted by Joshiemac on 5/3/2010: Consistent with previous notes. Great backyard sipper while manning the grill, and even paired well with carne asada tacos I was making. (3217 views)

| Tasted by Tyler_at_WWD on 4/23/2010 & rated 90 points: The nose on this wine was explosive with tons of complexity showing through. There are lush tropical fruit and floral tones, an absolutely textbook example of fig, ripe passionfruit, gooseberry, endless green fruit, and even a faint hint of rose. The flavor was equally impressive with lots of sharp acid, gooseberries, figs, and a nice chalkiness with some tropical fruit tones around the edges. This wine had great balance between ripe fruit and clean minerality. This is a very well made wine and an excellent example of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. I like this wine more than a number of Sauvignon Blancs I’ve had from Marlborough.

Tasted by Sakas on 4/4/2010: No formal notes, but I agree with previous reviewers, great QPR. Everyone seemed to enjoy this. Not sure I agree with the 90+ scores (don't remember it having as much concentration as the Kim Crawford), but definitely a re-buy. (3118 views)
Tasted by tourette on 2/21/2010: Very nice. No notes taken, but I remember thinking this was an excellent QPR. (3150 views)
Tasted by Joshiemac on 12/29/2009 & rated 90 points: Ripe, rich nose with citrus and tropical fruit. Full bodied and rich across the palate with grassy elements, grapefruit, a touch of lychee, and papaya. Fruity but balanced by a tart citrus undercurrent. Very, very enjoyable. Fantastic with thai chicken green curry. (3355 views)
Tasted by maxmanx on 12/24/2009 & rated 91 points: Remarkably full-flavored: grapefruit dominates, but also some grapefruit peel. Long finish. Great QPR! (3444 views)
