Tasted by MusignyBlanc on 11/25/2014: This bottle was really faded. Would drink up unless you have a really cold cellar. (3429 views)
Tasted by The Drunken Cyclist on 2/15/2014 & rated 86 points: We have had a case of this, and while good, this seems to be fading a bit. Not quite as fruity as previous bottles, but enough intrigue to keep me going. Yeah, I'm kind of simple. Good. thedrunkencyclist.com (3995 views)
Tasted by MusignyBlanc on 1/18/2014: Fruit is fast fading, leaving acid, a little bit of green, and some slightly bitter tannins. Doesn't sound appealing, but it was actually quite delicious, especially if you are into the acid (i.e., it still lively and interesting). The flavors are a bit contrarian at this point, but again, may be great depending on your perspective. The vintage really shines through more than ever. Cellar temps for best result. (4039 views)
Tasted by Leomania on 12/22/2013 & rated 88 points: Simple but delicious. Previous notes apply; reaching the end of its drinking window. (4024 views)
Tasted by Leomania on 10/9/2013 & rated 87 points: Raspberry and wet rocks - delicious! Amazing QPR. Holding up well, but time to finish up. (4420 views)
Tasted by Leomania on 7/17/2013 & rated 88 points: Wow, drinking so very nicely right now. The fruit is pretty forward, mostly blue but nice minerality as a counterpoint. Drink up! (2436 views)
Tasted by Tim Heaton on 6/13/2013: used for cooking, this is fading fast. 14,0% abv (2183 views)
Tasted by Sugarb on 6/8/2013 & rated 85 points: Medium bodied, moderate spice, low fruit profile - need to drink the ret we have quickly. This matches what we paid for it. Paired with spare ribs, can afford to put this next to spicier pairings. (2033 views)
Tasted by Leomania on 5/4/2013 & rated 88 points: Without the rocks and hint of leather this would be too fruity, but add those components and it's very enjoyable. Drinking wonderfully right now. Finish by end of year. (1968 views)
Tasted by Tim Heaton on 4/22/2013: All but one glass used as a cooking wine for pot roast and gravy - worked well, as did the glass I saved for the meal. Drink thru 2013, 14,0% abv (2216 views)
Tasted by Tim Heaton on 4/15/2013: PnP served non-blind. Consistently solid (and versatile) food (i.e. bistro style) wine; really should be consumed this year - simply no structure for anything beyond that. Solid at $10, but would come up way short at $20. 14% abv, drink thru 2013 (1738 views)
Tasted by Tim Heaton on 3/24/2013: Slow-O 1 hr. Working through my second case of this garrigue-filled lovely. Brilliant acids float ripe (phenolically) red and black fruits along a firm tannic river. For the price point (or twice the price point, for that matter) the nose is stunning, the palate, equally up to the task Brilliant stuff, and glad to have another 8 in the cellar. A more noble cellar defender I have yet to find. 14,0% abv, drink thru 2014. Someone knew WHEN to pick.

update: night #2 is nearly the opposite of #1, with just about all of its energy and character missing in action. Soft, medium-bodied, lifted, but completely uninspired - just not enough fruit. My third time seeing how this does past the first night, and it's consistently an underachiever on the second night. (1709 views)
Tasted by jhkey on 2/27/2013: the nose is incredibly floral. I can't seem to get past it, I feel like I'm drinking a flower. Otherwise a very good deal on a well balanced wine. (1968 views)
Tasted by The Drunken Cyclist on 2/3/2013 & rated 88 points: I am kicking myself for not buying more of this. Great fruit and balance with a QPR off the charts (I paid $8 through Last Bottle). I would drink this in the short term, though. Very Good. (1725 views)
Tasted by Lesha on 1/24/2013 & rated 90 points: Very unusual, strong tennis. I loved it (1820 views)
Tasted by Tim Heaton on 1/18/2013: used in/with Pot Roast dish. So very good, bright, and clean. Medium bodied, avg+ acids. recommended, 14,0% abv, drink thru 2014 (1953 views)
Tasted by syrahiously on 1/16/2013 & rated 88 points: 4 bottles left. Too easy to drink. Delicious with or without food. Excellent spice, structure and depth with an medium finish. Holds up well to grilled meats and spicy italian dishes. What a value for $8 a bottle! (1800 views)
Tasted by Tim Heaton on 1/12/2013: consistent tn's. Outstanding. Fresh and focused, with engaging and tactile Grenache notes, with only a smattering of sliced roast beef Syrah notes on top. Such a great sub $20 bottling. Drink thru 2014 (1677 views)
Tasted by Tim Heaton on 1/3/2013: My first bottle from my second case. Can't say enough about this daily drinker - so versatile, neatly composed and fresh. recommended, 14,0% abv, drink thru 2014 (1780 views)
Tasted by bconly on 12/29/2012 & rated 88 points: Great QPR at $8 - thanks lastbottle! Light, fruity, and refreshing, but with enough of a mineral finish and tannic backbone to keep me interested. Glad we went in for a case, because I am reaching for this stuff on nights that don't warrant opening something nicer. (1500 views)
Tasted by thesternowl on 12/28/2012 & rated 88 points: Given as a gift from a friend, decanted for about 30 minutes prior to first sip; drank over 24 hour period. This is all black peppercorn and brambles...which are two things I happen to love. Medium bodied...soft and velvety in the mouth but with enough acid to pair well with most foods. The next day, the alcohol was more pronounced but still drank nicely. A really well made wine and remarkable for the money. I wouldn't hesitate to pick some up. Should have the stuffing to be a great drink over the next 3 years. (1677 views)
Tasted by Mootsie on 12/14/2012 & rated 86 points: Seems better than the last bottle. More acidic pop, not the flat, wateriness. Bottle variation or? Sort of CDR ish. Boysenberry, grapefruit and pine flavors. (1632 views)
Tasted by Suss on 12/14/2012 & rated 88 points: Not sure I've found a better bottle for $8. Great everyday drinker. Nothing spectacular but really solid QRP. Bought a case to give as holiday gifts for co-workers and want to keep it all for myself. Drinks like a bottle in the mid to high teens. (1812 views)
Tasted by Mootsie on 12/10/2012 & rated 85 points: Starts with nice spicy fruit and then goes sort of flat, lacking any acidic pop. The spice notes expand with air time, but the wateriness continues. Not sure there is much life left in these, but for $8 it is mildly enjoyable.
Day 2 update. A little better, more pronounced acidity, but still a little watery. (1594 views)
Tasted by Leomania on 10/29/2012 & rated 88 points: Very enjoyable. Notes consistent with previous bottles. (3034 views)
