Tasted by Wine O’ Clock on 1/14/2022 & rated 88 points: Fruity citrus high acid (1535 views)
Tasted by amateur62 on 11/16/2021 & rated 92 points: Just opened before the dinner, requires about 30 minutes to show its best. Still very youthful and fresh but with more depth than the last bottle nearly 6 years ago. Typical Sauvignon Blanc nose with gooseberry and tropical fruits, mouth watering acidity, nice bitter note, dense and long, superb, 92+, what a nice surprise! Drink now or within the next 6 to 8 years. (1664 views)
Tasted by jluca on 3/31/2018 & rated 83 points: Very pleasant and easy to drink (3479 views)
Tasted by cuffthis on 10/6/2016 & rated 88 points: Pale yellow in color, this wine reveals muted aromas of lemon curd, gooseberry and green pea on the nose. The mouth feel brought surprisingly high levels of acidity as well as more citrus aromas including lime juice. The finish paired the fading fruit and acidity well. 13.5% abv.

A gift from my boss from his wine cellar, this wine is fully mature but still pleasant to drink with surprisingly crisp remaining acidity. The overt NZ SB aromas have softened very much to the point if tasted blind, I'd identify this wine as a white Bordeaux.

Imported by Moet Hennessy USA, New York, NY. (7799 views)
Tasted by amateur62 on 2/13/2016 & rated 90 points: Was a bit afraid about the tasting notes that it could be already over the hill. Opened and found first not much more than acidity but after 1.5 hours with air, the nose got quite exotic, passion fruit and some citrus, really good. I think this wine has plenty of time ahead.  Tasted by _Xenon on 4/19/2015 & rated 91 points: When I tried this wine directly after release I was heaviliy disappointed. Overprized, nothing special compared to other Sauvignon Blancs in that pricerange.

But this one has evloved into a nutty, almond smelling and tatsting round and complex wine.

The drinking window is closing. Enjoyed it. (11062 views)
Tasted by sembefu on 2/3/2015 & rated 87 points: Poped and poured. Partly over the peak, alcohol seemed to dominate next to the black currant and cut crass taste, all in all the package was not in balance. Drink now. (11445 views)
Tasted by Chainthroer on 4/14/2014 & rated 90 points: Seemed more like my tasting notes of 10/11/2011. Did not seem as complex as the 4/24/2012 tasting. It's still a decent wine, but is now on the downward slope of its drinking plateau. I'll consume my last bottle fairly soon. (13246 views)
Tasted by avp on 4/6/2014: A nose of currant leaf, lemon, grapefruit, rhubarb and welcomed asparagus.
Dry and crisp palate with zesty lemon bite, tart grapefruit and varied fruit character with notes from currant and rhubarb to peaches. Lengthy.
Opening up nicely. (8791 views)
Tasted by empire80 on 1/4/2014 & rated 88 points: A decent Sauvignon but not outstanding. (7675 views)
Tasted by WineGuyFL on 12/23/2013 & rated 91 points: Similar to prior TNs. Less acidic than earlier bottles. Light yellow/straw color. Down to one bottle left in a case. All of the raters say drink right away, but that seems an aggressive view given how good the last 2-3 bottles have been. This wine has always been a hit when I poured it at a party. Something about it makes it a crowd pleaser. (6270 views)
Tasted by wine150 on 11/30/2013 & rated 91 points: last but one out of 12, drinking well, but with finish 2010 by years end (6285 views)
Tasted by WineGuyFL on 8/26/2013 & rated 91 points: The 10th bottle from a case. Early bottles were a bit too acidic. All of that has resolved. It is now very balanced and tasty. Good for both sipping and with food. (5122 views)
Tasted by cbbrown3 on 8/25/2013 & rated 91 points: The wine is a light, pale yellow to straw color. The fresh and tropical nose has lime, grapefruit, minerals, fresh cut grass, and orange blossoms. This has light body with tart, citrusy acidity. On the palate the crisp fruit and minerals steal the show with the grapefruit notes giving way to lime with a nice herbal edge. The finish has very good length with the lime and grapefruit allowing minerals and herbal elements to poke through. As usual, another outstanding offering from Cloudy Bay. (4906 views)
Tasted by Higgie on 7/30/2013 & rated 87 points: Very tasty and balanced Sauvignon blanc. (4001 views)
Tasted by GuBe on 7/27/2013 & rated 90 points: Ljósgult. Sítrus, perubrjóstykur og hunang. Smjörugt í lokin. Mjög gott sumarvín. (4037 views)
Tasted by mtrevithick on 7/12/2013 & rated 90 points: Always nice. (3550 views)
Tasted by christhewino on 6/1/2013 & rated 88 points: Better than the last bottle and still smoother, tastier & generally better than every other NZ Sauv Blanc I've tasted but still slightly disappointing. I can't really explain why, perhaps it's just me and Sauv Blanc. (3575 views)
Tasted by casjf on 5/20/2013 & rated 85 points: Either this was better a year ago or my palate is more refined... (3398 views)
Tasted by XminusS on 4/20/2013 & rated 92 points: - Yellow gold color with medium forming legs. It's balanced with a medium/full body with a medium finish. (3809 views)
Tasted by Barry Notes on 4/1/2013 & rated 90 points: PnP. Clear, very light straw color. Typical CB/SB, clean, fresh, very fruity, proper/rather intense flavor profile, not grassy/pineapple. Fine finish. My favorite NZ SB producer. Nothing off. $20. (4139 views)
Tasted by Paul S on 3/23/2013 & rated 89 points: TQKP Dinner / Eunice's Farewell (Li Bai, Sheraton Towers, Singapore): I have not had a Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc (save for a few bottles of Te Koko) for a couple of years, so this was a good chance to get reacquainted with a label that really helped to spark my interest in wine in the mid-1990s. Unfortunately, this bottle, while pleasant enough, was nothing special - a bit meh really. It had a typical Marlborough SB nose, with tropical touches of green mango and guava along with some green asparagus scents and a little whiff of cat's pee. Given the couple of years or so in bottle, the palate showed a bit of developed richness, with a spicy warmth running through its very tropical notes of green mangoes and guava, with some citrussy lime pulling towards a pretty decent finish. There was a nice bright balance in spite of its ripe warmth, and it was a decent drink with a Cantonese meal, but I thought this was very run-of-the-mill. (4838 views)
Tasted by WineGuyFL on 3/6/2013 & rated 90 points: Drinking well. Not tiring at all. Better the second night. Also, the fruit and flavors were more evident and fresh than with two bottles I drank in the second half of 2012 (3619 views)
Tasted by Engelund on 2/16/2013 & rated 89 points: Dejlig frisk og sprřd. God syre og mundrensende. Perfekt til hvidvinsdampede muslinger. Mums (3573 views)
Tasted by avp on 1/21/2013: White fruit nose with notes of pitahaya and whitecurrant. Some grapefruit, slight petrol and herbs.
Dry and a bit watery palate with barely adequate acidity. Round and fruity with Muscat-like green grape touch. Grapefruit dominant with some herbaceousness. Mid-length.
Needs time. Going through a dull phase. (4115 views)
