Nose: The nose is fresh, nervy, and enticing, filling the glass with peaches, green apples, nectarines, white fruits, acacia flowers, and some oily notes.
Taste: The feel is on the lighter side with racy, high acidity. There is a lot of freshness and balance to the feel with peaches, green apples, nectarines, and acacia flowers.
Overall: This is a lovely Kabinett. It's refreshing and lively while showing off a lot of white fruits.
Nose: The nose was a bit tired at first, but once it woke up it was flowing and layered with rose petals, violets, raspberries, sour red cherries, strawberries, licorice, roasted herbs, earth notes, and some black truffles. This needed about 30 minutes to an hour to wake up and it was worth it.
Taste: The feel is Medium/full bodied with refreshing, high acidity and silky, high tannins. The feel is silky and just flat out beautiful with rose petals, violets, roasted herbs, raspberries, sour red cherries, strawberries, savory notes, and black truffles.
Overall: The soy note that was there at first did recede, but it never fully went away. This was at its best after an hour open and it became extremely elegant and silky. This is in a wonderful place right now once it opens up.
Nose: Immediately this is clearly on a different level of depth and class. The nose is still a bit tight and coiled, but beautifully red-fruited with red cherries, strawberries, raspberries, herbs, licorice, juniper berries, rose petals, violets, tobacco, savory herbs, and morning dew tones.
Taste: The feel is Full bodied with mouthwatering, high acidity and youthful, high tannins. The structure still shows a good amount of youth but it isn't overpowering at this time. The feel is deep and classy with red cherries, strawberries, raspberries, licorice, savory herbs, and tobacco notes.
Overall: Even with it clearly being young, it was still a wonderful wine. There is clearly more that this can give and these weren't the best conditions for it, but that's just how these things go some times.
