Rotterdam Tasted Tuesday, March 3, 2009 by Xavier Auerbach with 395 views
Good typicity, distinctive, good weight but lacks some flair and tension, at the awkward age, has lost its babyfat but not real evolution yet.

A lovely wine, superior in style, energy and tension to the three 2005's tasted before.
Good, good typicity, both for Pauillac and for Mouton, but seems quite evolved already and slightly dry.
Good classic Pauillac, 1988-character very much in evidence, not up to first growth standard.
Should probably not have been decanted (for so long). Dead on arrival.
Very charming and distinctive, not a big Mouton but an elegant and fine-boned wine.
A good, sturdy wine but drier than I remember from two years ago and without the radiant fruit it had then.
Lovely wine, finesse, stylish, a charming 1998.
From magnum. Delicious ripe fruit, well-rounded, fully mature.
Rich and not as closed as I had feared, clearly a great wine - albeit still in the making.
