Crisper and more defined than the Petit Chablis. Again, quite mineral - actually this is almost saline. Decent finish but a bit light on the mid-palate.
Bright yellow. Fuller body than the village and just as mineral in style. More obvious use of oak - actually only 30%. Lasts quite long with a lanolin finish. Supposedly lasts 5-20 years in bottle - certainly will improve with a couple more.
Quite a nice wine for the price. From the "Peyroli" vineyard which is on slopes up to 500m high, giving a cooler micro-climate than the regional average - allows longer ripening period. 90% Chardonnay & 10% Viognier. The Viognier gives it deeper yellow colour, some spice and white peach aromas. Round and mellow with lower acidity than the Chablis wines. Lasts quite well given the denser body.
70% Syrah, 30% Merlot from the "Roqua Blanca" vinyard. Very ripe - bit jammy. Seems as though it came from a very hot ripening region. Prunes. Bit spicy on the palate, short with very little evidence of tannins. Not for me.
28% Syrah, 28% Grenache, 44% Merlot. This is from the same "Roqua Blanca" vineyard as the generic Mas La Chevaliere but from the best parcels. And what a difference. Where that was jammy and over-ripe, this is clearly defined, with black fruits and black pepper. Good acidity and with evident, velvety tannins. Complex.

Ripe style. Somewhat mineral but a bit soft and undefined for my taste.
