Dark purple, opaque. Like the Merlot Kela, it also gives a lot of alcohol on the nose, but also red fruits and well integrated oak. More elegant and calm than the Merlot Kela, but also with a full and round body. Drinkable and enjoyable now. Excellent.
Dark purple, not completely opaque. Complex on the nose – red fruits mixed with secondary notes. Full bodied and mouth filling but also somehow elegant. All the components very well integrated. The panel thought this was the oldest between the Merlot tasted, but in fact it happened to be the younger one. The quality of this wine is in no way less than the single vineyards from Yarden.
Bright ruby color. Complex and expressive. On the nose it gives still good fruit and also earthy / farm notes. Very good structure. Full and round with smooth tannins. Excellent and well drinkable now.
Bright purple color. At the first sip – lots of alcohol on the nose, but then it revels excellent fruit with hints of smoke and vanilla. Full bodied a lot of sweet fruits on the palate. Nice tannins, still sticking. Better to cellar it for a couple of years.
The best of the tasting. Ripe fruits, smoke, chocolate earth and farm smells – very expressive. Full bodied, excellent structure, with nice but still stinking tannins, very good acidity. Should be cellared for a few more years in order to smooth and let all the components to integrate.
2010 Golan Heights Winery Chardonnay Yarden Odem Vineyard 88 Points

On the nose, mostly nuts. Full bodied and buttery. Round in the palate with nice and predominant acidity. Too heavy, oaky and fruitless to my taste.
