  Nice nose. Honey, ginger bread, wax. Oily texture. Rich but very dry at the same time. Exotic fruits. A hint of vanilla on the long finish.

  Much darker color than the '89 and '93. Nutty, savory, umami. Hint of oloroso. Borderline RS without crossing the line. More tension than the '89. Very good.
  My favorite Semillon of the 3 bottles.

  Just like the '93 Malvasia, this '93 Semillon really benefited from being left in the glass for some time as it gained considerable weight on the mid palate. Seemed the less ripe of the 3 semillons but still beautifully balanced with honey and herbs notes.

  My favorite the all the Fiorano tasted that night.
  Very floral, a touch of licorice, lemon. Superb balance on the palate with great tension. Very delicate and feminine. Some almond. Long finish.
  You just want to keep drinking it.

  Like the '88 it started rather muted to really blossom and evolve in the glass over 3 hours. Spicy, a touch of something like dirty old barrel, lemon and apricot. A little fatter than the '88. Still always that balance between the rich texture and acidity.

  Most expressive nose of the 3. Although I believe the Prince did not use any new oak, this '94 smelled and tasted oaky. There's a crazy high acidity (seems to be the highest of the 3). In spite of the oaky sensation, this is still very elegant.

Overall I was impressed by the elegance of the wines and their capacity, even at that age, to really improve in the glass over 3 hours.
Nothing is forced and the wines are always very well balanced even if you can see some bottle variation with some oxidation notes for some of them. But I guess that is the price to pay when you have such hand crafted wines.
