Medium intense. Slightly thinning at the rim. Bold volatile nose jumping out of the glass. High perfume note, touch of fig, stewed fruits, liquorice, warm sweet spice. Rich and vibrant with racy acidity in the mouth. Firm tannic backbone and good length.
Medium to low intensity. Colour change at the rim. Slight cloudiness. Not much volatility, soft perfume with sweet summer pud fruits. Smooth start, good acidity, good length with a slightly bitter finish.
Medium intense. Vegetal notes on the nose at first but these disappear to leave umami mushroom notes and sweet spices. Smooth, soft, good acidity and fine ripe tannins.
Medium to high intensity - quite dark. Orange rim and very clear and bright. Very sweet on the nose - sherbet, treacle. Smooth velvety richness, good acidity and length.
Clear and bright, low intensity, distinctly orange. Almost fleshy fruit notes, pepper and mushrooms a little more elusive. Rich, good acidity, lighter than the usual Musar style with red current fruit, perhaps a little shorter. Unusually light - possibly higher Cinsault content? Echoes of Burgundy here!
Clear and bright. Medium intensity, brown hue. Figgy nose but somewhat closed, touch of warm spices. More fogginess on the palate. A bit of an oddball. High acidity, balsamic, savoury. No real length but interesting - almost PX like in some ways. Possible bottle variation as not aligned with the Musar tasting notes.
Low intensity. Clear and bright. Very perfumed nose with some intensity. Vegetal, sweet fruit lying underneath. Rich, textured, complex, layered. Still some fruit but more secondary notes of spice and coffee and chocolate.
