Rich but not deep colour; lovely nose, candied fruit, noticeable oak influence, 2004-freshness, distinctive note of five spice; medium weight, quite evolved flavours, not as tightly wound or energetic as the 2002, attractive and well-balanced; very good length. Drinking well, not for the very long term.
Attractive nose, well-defined, relatively fresh and vegetal for Cotat, ripe fruit, slightly honeyed, wonderful mineral depth; the palate is balanced, again marrying the usual Cotat calm and ripeness with more lifted flavours and juicy acidity, excellent fruit of cantaloupe melon and blackcurrant; very good length.
Rich and velvety, beautifully balanced, flavoursome, modern and glossy, energy and richness, elegant tannic grip, creamy cherries, blackcurrants, lovely freshness, perfectly integrated warm (but not toasty) oak; very good length. Classy stuff, perfectionistic winemaking, extremely attractive at this very young age already.
Lightly oaked. A really lovely combination of ripe lime and lemon fruit, floral notes, crisp acidity, oyster shells, energetic and fresh, lovely bitters, good intensity and length. Punches well above its weight.
